Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
I define sin as 'without' without love or life!.

My philosophy would be to have as much experience as possible without harming any one else!.

Live full hearted and openly - the path of excess leads to wisdom!.

I think relationship experience is best learning how to love others as yourself learning to cope with all the different dynamic energies in the world!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

In the eyes of the three faiths of Abraham, Judaism, Christianity and Islam; we are all born out of sin!. When Adam and Eve ate the fruit of the forbidden tree of knowledge they gained knowledge and were no longer innocent like all the other animals on Earth!. Now that's up to you if that was a good thing or not!? According to the Book of Genesis we gained free will but forever after we have to struggle for salvation!.

Every experience comes at a price and often you never know if it was ever worth the cost until long after the event!. I do feel God is in the business of forgiveness so being sinful ever now and again is okay -even necessary!. As a father to two teenagers I'm hit with questions like yours everyday!.

So yes it's better to have experience than live cloistered away!. Of course you should calculate out the risks and always be willing to deal with the consequences, if that is acceptable to you -then do it!.

Now what experience are you seeking!? I really don't care because it's all the same!. It's your life, it's your choice and the only person's permission you need is your own!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It is probably a little of both, moderation being a key!. For example, if it is possible for a person to recognize and internalize (mentally, physically, emotionally, spiritually, etc!.!.!.) the fact that a given experience would cause irreparable harm, then commonsense tells us that the person should indeed avoid the experience!. However, this doesn't work for some who appear to have no clue why something should be avoided!. They cannot trust in the mistakes of others and must try things out for themselves, thinking, erroneously, it would seem and for the most part, that the outcome will be different for them!. Yet, certain individuals and groups of people have experienced certain things, some of which is considered sinful by religion or illicit by society, and have returned to report learning important things that could not be or rarely be learned by those who do not have said experiences!. It appears that the rest of us must make decisions at some point, if we can, either to investigate, or continue as we have without the experience, and consider ourselves better off for it!.

As far as considering what experiences you could go seeking, with all that is thrust upon us in these times, it would seem reasonable to let those experiences seek us out instead, with exceptions to this rule no doubt in existence, and deal with them as best we can as they appear!.!.!.

For goodness sake, talk to a doctor or other professional first and do some reading on your subject of interest, with extra consideration paid to consequences and the "larger picture", before partaking in "experience"!.!.!.

Just suggestions!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Experience without learning, knowledge without understanding are of little use!. Sin is caused by its attributes of greed, envy, ambition and lust!. Therefore sin cannot be considered or deemed right, simply the absence of morality and sense!. Behave as you see fit and pay your dues as they are presented to you!. Its a sobering thought!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Experience comes with time!. You can always obtain the knowledge without commiting the act!. Ask yourself this, "!.!.!.is it harmful to you in Any way!?!. Is it harmful to others in Any way!?
Look at it this way, will it somehow come back to haunt you or hurt you!? What about when you have children and they find out!? Is that something you'd want them to know!? Or use as ammunition later when they are in trouble!? Well, you did it!? Kids use whatever they can, mine did!. Watch yourself as if it was someone else's life, how would you judge it!?
Look at all possible outcomes, 'good and bad' before you act!. The old saying, "Think before you act", really applies here!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Moralist and people who care about you, will try to stop you from experiencing sin!. Why, because after going through the sinfull experience, your subconscious can kill you /suicide/!.
If it doesn′t kill you, you will live with the pain all your life unless you convince yourself that what you did was morally right!. If you think you can, then go ahead and experience it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

That's odd!.

I define "sin" only as "hurting other people unnecessarily" (hurting yourself isn't sinful, just stupid!.)

So defined that way, I'd say you should try to avoid that kind of "sinful" experience, and just content yourself with having any of the other kinds of experience that pique your interest!. You don't have to pick just one!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

This phrase says it all for me, "Tis better to have loved and lost; that to never have loved at all!."
I would hate to get to senior citizen land and know I had never kissed ; or worse was still a virgin just because some religion was afraid i would soil my mind!.
God gave us the ability to go forth and multiply or die trying!. Man, (Queen Victoria),, decided it was a sin!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

That is almost like saying that by breathing vacuum you appreciate air!. I don't think so!. I believe that by virtue of visualizing the situation, you can grasp the consequences!. Just as I have already presented!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I believe sin means to do anything that is not in the best interest of others, or anything that is not nobleWww@QuestionHome@Com

!.!.!.what ever knowledge YOU desire!.!.!.to learn!.!.and experience!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I think so!. Unless it harms yourself or others, I think that's how we learn from mistakes!. There is no one without sin!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

sin is an illusion, there is no such thingWww@QuestionHome@Com

well, you learn from your experience dont you !?Www@QuestionHome@Com
