I'm 16 and love writing especially poems!. I'm not the best, but I try!. What do you think!? Be honest!

I dream of a day when there's nothing to fear!.!.!.!.
Nothing to worry about!.!.!.!.
Not a visible tear!.!.!.!.
There will be no hatred!.!.!.!.
No judgements made!.!.!.!.
No killing!.!.!.!.
No betraying!.!.!.!.
Hopes will not fade!.!.!.!.!.
Until this large world unites as a team!.!.!.!.
I myself will sit here!.!.!.!.
And continue to dream!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.

This is a greeting card!.

It's sweet, but it lacks depth!.

Truthfully, it's not THAT different from John Lennon's "Imagine" ; though I'm not sure that's a complement!.

Poetry is about making others FEEL joy & sorrow, love & loss!.

Don't tell me you'd 'Like' a more peacful world - give me some more passion, some more drama!.

Give me Romeo & Juliette WISHING they could find a world beyond the hate!.

Tell me you've glimsed the aching beauty of Heaven just a moment & a choice away & now the desolation of this world is killing you!.

Show me your heartache kid!. Tell me how you long for this world!.

Here's a poem snippit by U2 I think embodies a sense of longing!.

I have spoke with the tongues of angels
I have held the hand of a devil
It was warm in the night
I was cold as a stone

But I still haven't found what I'm looking for

not many ppl can even get the first 2 lines to rhyme
i wish there really could be a world like that :(

I think you are a true poet, it reminds me as myself growing up!.Has anyone ever told you, that you should be a poet, not every novelist as myself say this to people they don't no!. That is a very good poem its like good facing evil and good wins!.
