Illusions are misinterpretations of our perception, a change in perspective can help us redefine our overall viewpoint!.
Once you know something the illusion dissolves easily!.

Optimism is more a state of mind or an attitude I think,
it is solid & covers more than one area, it can be part of the very foundation of things that mater most!.

Illusions are easier to lose!.
I agree with Regwah that illusions are basically misconceptions which can be shattered when one dicovers the truth!. Optimism can come and go, but can also be a part of a person's nature!. Even if lost temporarily, optimism can be regained much more easily -so ultimately it isn't lost!.

I feel it is easier to lose optimism because when you have an illusion you liken it to a fact!. If a person is dead set that they feel they have a compassionate personality, which in reality they do not-- to lose that perspective would be foreign and insecure to them!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It's definitely easier to lose optimism!. Illusions are what we create to think positively at times!.!.!.whenever I feel optimism slipping away from me, I do something silly that makes me happy and then it comes right back :)Www@QuestionHome@Com
