Virtually every act of retribution proves Gandhi's quote to be true!. Most wars are acts of retaliation, and a great number of people sitting in prison are there because of crimes of revenge!. I read about a man literally losing his eyesight after he shot someone else in the eye and then hunted him down and shot him during the horrific reign of Amin!. I am sure it's not the only time or place there has literally been an eye for an eye!.

Daniel Pearl's death comes to mind as well!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.

We're not blind to what's going on there!.!.!.!.!.!.!.but we're not seeing things clearly either!. We can't from here, and I think in a way we're becoming emotionally blind in a sense!.

It's just a push-shove mentality that we develop when we're on the playground on a larger scale!. Eventually if someone doesn't stop pushing or shoving, one or both will get hurt!.

When one thing is broken, breaking something else will never fix it!.

It means rather let the punishment fit the crime!.
