The term 'sound' has two senses:

A-Sound and B-Sound!.

A-Sound = the rapid vibration of tiny particles in the medium of air!.

B-Sound = the phenomenal mental-sensation of a person following the persons having perceived (A-Sound)!.

1!. IF by "sound" we mean 'A-sound', then yes!.
2!. IF by "sound" we mean 'B-sound', then no!.
