I have!. I am not a huge philosophy!. My interest in it is natural rather than forced!. In fact I think some people take an 'interest' in it because of what is represents in what it stands for in society!.

To answer your question yes I am sure philosophers do ponder the necessity of it to a certain extent!. It's a bit like do Religious people ponder the neccessity of religion!?

On second thoughts its different because philosophy isn't a faith but you might get what I mean!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yes!. Philosophy sprout from an inquisitive mind in search of the Truth!. Same as Religion!. But Religion must go hand to hand with philosophy!. Religion without philosophy is sentiment, or sometimes fanaticism, while philosophy without religion is mental speculation!.The ultimate goal is the Absolute Truth, because the philosophers who are also sincerely searching after the Absolute Truth come to the right conclusion and they give up relative truths aside!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
