The sad part about the homeless
person is by the Grace of God there
we could be!.
If you think about a homeless
person, what could have happened
that they ended up that way!. I
watched a show and it had homeless
young people!. In their case it was
drugs!. One was a world class cyclist
he was nice looking and had his
family behind him!. He got in some
kind of trouble and got kicked off
the team!. That was the end for him
he was a nobody and couldn't handle
it!. So he started doing drugs, he lived
on the streets and only worried about
getting his next hit!. There was an
intervention with all his family
members saying how they loved him
and what he could be!. He needed to
leave right then, he said no!. His mom
said she will not longer help him, he
would be on his own!. The next
morning, the intervention person met
up with him and off they went to
somewhere in Florida!. What a
difference, I think he was there 3 or
6 month!. I was so happy for him and
his family!. He looked like his old self
and was going to try to get back on
a team, something to hope for!.
However I think older people
40's or up!. Maybe they lost their job
and his wife left!. He stated drinking
and just kept drinking!. Or maybe they
lost a loved one and couldn't handle
it!. Noone ever says when I grow up
I want to be homeless!. It's a hard
world sometimes!. Pray for them or
show them some kindness!.

I really wouldn't know!. Never been in their shoes!. I consider myself fortunate!. Its nothing that I have actually done, which has ensured my birth in a decent family, which enabled me an access to good education, good values, helped me be self-reliant, my marriage to a person quite capable of looking after/raising his family!. FATE! To a large extent!

Here in India, esp!. Mumbai, there is no dearth of homeless people, since this city lures people from different parts of the country (and Neighbouring countries too) with promise of finding some/any work!. City of Dreams, because Hindi Film Industry is based right here!. Many top stars claim to have slept on the roads as strugglers!

Now coming back to your question, I have found that most homeless people avoid looking directly at you! Unless of course you are cheeky enough to stare at them openly!. Then they would question you rather rudely!. Otherwise, they are mostly apathetic!. Their only concern is where the next meal is coming from!.

my dad use to bring home homeless people (he was a doctor)!. I have learned a lot from these men!. usually I think that they want acceptance!. to know that they are still part of a society that has thrown them away (one man, as a boy who grew into a man and nobody every told was a special person) or that they don't understand the culture (one man came from a different country who had been living in civil war and was trying to bring his wife and kids here, but just didn't know how the culture worked and found himself in a situation he couldn't get out of) and people who just can't make it (one man just kept telling the same stories over again, but they were always interesting)!.

if you sit quietly you will hear people tell what they can, but you have to be still with mind and body!. in a society like ours that is sometimes difficult!.

let me ask you what do you think the implications of begging someone for money would do on the average "norm" person!. how would you feel if you had to beg for money from someone if 3 years ago you had been wearing a nice suite to work!. would you be shamed!? sad!? scared!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

I worked in a homeless shelter, and I can tell you we are all one paycheck from being homeless, many people think that it's only drug addicts, and alcoholics, well , it's not, many people have fallen on hard times and have children living there also!.so telling someone get a job is ignorant, especially if you have no clue why or what brought these people to this position in there life!. maybe when they look at you, they just might be thinking For the grace of god there go I!. destinyWww@QuestionHome@Com

I once had a homeless person ask me for money in a whataburger parking lot!. I asked for what and he told me for food!. So I bought him a whataburger meal and I sat there eating my food as he threw the food i bought him in the trash outside!.!.!.never will i help them againWww@QuestionHome@Com

He is as tormented as I am!. Spend his time articulately talking to himself!. Smiles jovially in my direction!. When passing makes conversation as if we were talking eternally and had ne’er ceased!.

Then I chanced upon another like him in the sweet shop!. ‘There you are, he said in an Irish lilt!. Aghast I stared into eyes blazing with demons and rage!. He complimented and I remarked taken aback, at the abject drunkenness of his condition!.

Then I ran but he pursued, as I exited the shop he fell between two pillars outside the shop, I sped off as quickly as possible!. I regret it to this day, his tall gait sprawled on his knees in front of the shop!.

My blood chills and a tear wells each time I pass that point, being frequent and often!. God is possessed by hell!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I had that happen to me today, as a matter of fact,!.!.!.!.
she was drunk off her @ss! She actually asked me if I had a cell phone she could use!.!.!.!.!.I didn't!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.
I went by again (walking my dogs) and there she was,!.!.!.!.even more drunk than earlier!!.!.!.!.I beleive one of the neighbors were calling the police to come pick her up!.!.!.!.not really sure!.!.!.My dogs are not the friendly type and I don't let them near people too much!.!.!.!.!.!.!.
What was my thought to this!.!.!.!? - Just down the street a few blocks, there is a homeless shelter!.!.!.people there who really need help, some have kids!.!.!.!.and here this woman is getting money for booze!.!.!.!.what a friggin waste!!? I actually see it a lot around where I live!.!.!.People will spend their last dime on booze and forget about what they actually need!.!.!.!.!.!. I have a difficult time feeling sorry for people like this!

Well, I have my own opinion of that anymore, that's take time to ask him!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.How can you help, What does he do to get help, How did he get in this situation, Are there any programs available to help!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.I learned the hard way too many times!.!.!.now I ask them questions and try to get some answers!. I can say with all honesty that one day I was getting a test from above!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.one hit me for money!.!.!.!.!.!.I gave it too him because he said he was hungry!.!.!.!.!.!.!.I gave it to him !.!.!.!.looked down into my wallet looked up and he was no where insight!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.just a little strange for me!.!.!.!.!.!.!.now I try and talk to them longer!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.and the next one I'm taking to a subway myself!.!.!.!.!.!.!.just to see if he really wants to eat or not!. That they have it made!. They are the kings of thier own world!. They pay no bills, dont worry about gas, have no one to answer to and they can be where ever they want!.
