I think she should have included more about why 2012 in specific!.
The ancient Mayan Indians had a calendar!. They stopped their calendar at December 21st, 2012!.
Plus or minus a couple days I think I'm close!.
Anyway, people think the world is going to end that day because the Mayan calendar ends that day!. Personally, I think their hands got tired and they said "Forget it, let the people continue it in 2012!." People have predicted the end of Earth countless times!. Remember Y2K!? We're still here!!
I think the only creepy thing is, an asteroid is on course to hit earth on a Friday the 13th in April of 2029!. I mean, if the world DOES end, we can't do anything about it, can we!? Unless we can move the asteroid!. bahahaWww@QuestionHome@Com

Seriously!? What context are you even asking this in!? I mean, sure it could end in 2012, unforeseen events could lead to nuclear holocaust or we could be struck by an asteroid!. Aliens could invade or maybe a huge solar flare will heat the planet and melt the ice caps and we'll all drown!.

Of course, there's probably an equal probability of any of these things happening tomorrow too!.

The only thing we know for certain is that the world WILL end in a few billion years when the sun finally swells and melts the surface of the planet and possibly even engulfing it along with the other inner planets!.

Anyone who suggests these types of dates are just stupid!.!.!.unless they know aliens, work at NASA, or have nuclear bombs!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I don't know if the world would end, but that would be a good time frame for Iraq to develop their nukes if they continue unchecked!. Once those nukes start flying, well, it might seem like the end of the world!.
