Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Well, there are a lot of theories, but Earth needs the Sun to live!. Stars explode and get re-born from pressure!. The Sun is a star, and eventually, it will die!. When the Sun dies, Earth will too!. But, seeing as the OZone layer is slowly depleting, and no one is trying to stop it, it will probably kill off human existance before the Sun explodes!. Then the OZone will eventually reform and life on earth will happen all over again!. Who knows how that will turn out!? I hope this helped! Oh, and also, if a Black Hole formed close enough to Earth, we'd all die in seconds!.Www@QuestionHome@Com When the sun, the center of our solar system, begins to end it's life cycle This is predicted to be in the next 4-5 billion years!. By the end of that time, the Sun will begin to fuse helium, and as a result, expand in diameter to perhaps 300 times its present size!. The Sun can support life on Earth possibly another 3 billion years, after that we are toast on this planet!. This world will end in a fireball!. Of course by then we humans will have trashed this globe so badly that we would have had to leave a couple of billion years before this event to find another planet to consume!. I think "our" world will end because this comfy little niche in the ecosystem where humans survive and thrive is just going to get thrown out of wack!. We see it in other ecosystems!.
