Hi, my dear "cool Manu"!.!.!.
Well!.!.!. I can't go to the extent that Carl-Gustav Jung (great german Analyst) goes, but I believe that a personality has several aspects !!!Mainly through inheritance -but: also through!.!.!."environment & exposure" one develops his/her personality !!! Most of your character-traits you aquire through the genes, but the "environment" can "contribute" certain "aspects" as well!.!.!.!.
With me for instance!.!.!.I have been exposed to the "american lifestyle", which has significantly "impressed" me to the extent, that now I have my difficulties "adjusting" to the german "way-of-life" !.!.!.!.(with strict rules & regulations) I don't wish to comply anymore due to the fact that in the US life was much more "care-free" ! The US-environment has definately contributed to my personality!.!.!.!.

Personality is a set of acts that we have learned in order to protect the real self, much like some animals, especially birds and fish, adopt in order to appear larger so as to scare predators away!. It is false compared to the real self!. Sometimes this real self is called essence!. Unfortunately humans start to believe their own fabrications and lose contact with who they really are and even what they truly want!.
The result is usually that they are not happy with what they get!.
