True because it is wiser a person may falter along the sides, but the new knowledge will not ever leave!. Unless they forgot and something or someone will surely remind them of there past!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I think it doesn't!. This is metaphorical, of course!. But absorbing stimuli does cause your brain to form new neural networks!. This can strengthen a mind!.

For example, people who do crosswords regularly are less likely to have brain deterioration as they age!. Everyone has it, but by strengthening your brain, it helps slow down the process and resist it for longer!. So you can avoid things like Alzheimer's or at least increase your odds of doing so!.

But you should keep "stretching" your mind, as one stretch won't do you much good!. Everyone else will stretch at a faster pace, and even though you're at a +1 standing, they continue to progress and your +1 becomes rather measly by comparison!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

everybody has new ideas!. "new idea" does not necessarily mean one that that nobody ever thought of before!. It has only to do with whether it is new to the thinker!. We all engage in creative thinking!.

whether such a thing changes the mental functioning permanently, I'd say so, a little bit!. Mostly with respect to creative thinking abilities!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I would say that it doesn't!. Once you are influenced by any type of stimuli it's effect on you can not be undone!. You would have to un-experience in order to get back to your original state!. I think Futurama said it best, "you watched it, you can't unwatch it!."Www@QuestionHome@Com

If the mind receives the idea only to review it and then ultimately reject it , it would seem the mind would revert to its original shape!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

"A flute without holes, is not a flute!. A donut without a hole, is a Danish!."Www@QuestionHome@Com

As a man thinks so he becomes!.!.!.!.

A mind that has changed it's thoughts can never go back to what it was!.!. I agree!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I don't believe our minds ever revert!. It constantly takes on new shapes!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
