it depends how great you want to be!. do you need to be good at drawing or visual art to be a visula artist!? no, not really you can draw whatever no matter how bad it is and call yourself an artist!. you might not be that great though and you might not be able to make much money doing it!.

same for philosophy!. intelligence i think is what you need most to be a great philosopher!. but anybody can philosophize and therefore be a philosopher!.

lazy and socially awkward are fine, lazy can actually be really good because it makes you want to find different easier ways of doing things, more simplicity!. in philosophy simple and easy is good!.

e=mc^2 is real simple way of explaining something real complicated!.

but you are not useless i don't think anybody is useless!. maybe you just haven't found your perfect use yet!.

i'm not sure if embrace would be the word i would use, but definately misery and sadness give happiness more meaning, like light compared to dark, food when you're starving is so great!.

but happiness is so wonderful and misery and sadness not!. that's why embracing happiness is better!. i think happiness adds much more meaning to life!.

people generally don't commit suicide because they are too happy and life becomes meaningless!. but the opposite has been known to happen!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

To respond to your Quote-Query, We strive to be,do,experience the good , the best, the true, the right, and the beautiful knowing full well we will encounter the opposites along the way!. But the opposites are in many ways as good for us although we feel they aren't initially!. The hardest opposites are the ones that are undeservedly forced on us by the ignorants and the malicious!

I like that saying because it's so true!. when we're thrown happy things we embrace them with all our might and we should do the same with the sad things!. If we don't they'll just end up coming back to us later but even stronger!. If we embrace them now we will be able to overcome them to get to the happy things and the happiness and the goodness are the only things worth living for!. Not embracing the sad things prolongs us from moving towards the positivity!. very wise!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

but i will say that in life you must make sacrifices, and they can be hard and sometimes seemingly unattainable, but if you work hard to become a philosopher , the a philosopher you will be in more than just title!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
