Question: I have a theory!. Does any one agree!?

I think people have gone back in time before!.

Say you create a time machine, and you want to go back in time and kill someone!.

When you go back you leave your current deminsion and go to a second deminsion, then when you kill the person!.

After you kill them, the deminsion you came from and the second deminsion dissapear nad a new deminsion is created!.

Because the person is dead in the new deminsion you have no reason to plot against them, so you dont remember doing anything!.

And because they are dead there is no reason for you create a time machine, therefore it doesnt exist!.

The person is dead, but its as if you've never done anything!.

You theory is basically that if you were to invent a time machine for the express purpose of killing someone!.!.!.!.!. then you go back 20 years and do so!.!.!.!.!. you will be forming an alternate dimension with a new timeline!.

This principle is relatively sound, however your assertion that the other dimension would disolve somehow doesn't make sense!. If the other dimension dissapeared then so too would the creator of the time machine and the very person who travelled!. That would mean that this person didn't exist, let alone go back in time to commit murder!. So the person would still live, causing the time machine, causing the murder, causing the dissapearing universe, and undoing the time machine, and undoing the murder!. It is a paradox!.

If however this initial time travelers home dimension stayed intact, then yes!.!.!.!. it is plausable!. For instance, if someone were to go back in time and kill Hitler!.!.!.!.!. they would create a new timeline where Nazis didn't exist but this timeline would still remain the same!. If this were the case, the time traveler would be forever stranded in the new dimension he/she created, unable to return to this one!. So he/she would be outside of the time line he/she created, and would also be completely missing from this one!.

This would mean that if this were true, any attempt to travel back in time would vanish the traveler from our universe!. They could never return, because any action in the past would alter the time line enough to cause a splinter dimension to be created!. It would also mean that their would potentially be two versions of the time traveller in the newly created dimension!. One would be native to that dimension and the other would be the time traveller himself!. Which would mean that either this dimension is the original (because we don't see any time machines laying around, nor any dopplegangers) or that any time travellers altered their own birth, negating the doppleganger effect, or that the time traveler continually travels thus continually entering new dimensions created by him!. The last option seems unlikely because anyone smart enough to create a time machine would likely understand this very idea and would have settled down in some dimension (though maybe ours is particularly unpleasent, hence no evidence here)!. Maybe their is a wonderful dimension filled with time travellers who decide to settle down in that paradise version of Earth!. (that seems like an interesting ending to a time travel book!.!.!.!. so noone steal it please)

Great story, but as there is no way of knowing, why even bother asking!. Sorry buddy but there is a floor in your method!. i understand the first to dimension's clasp but that doesn't equal memory loss!. the time travel does not mean you are reversed with it and so have to re-plot the murder, it just means that you exist as you are when you travel!. so that if you are 30 and travel back to when you were say 20 !. then kill someone you don't have to re-plot the murder again when your meant to turn 30 again because those parallels have clasped and in the new time you have done those action!. so sorry but your on to somethingWww@QuestionHome@Com
