Yes!.!.!.!. a certain base level of money is essential for happiness!.
Even though any amount of money can not give me everything I want, I know I will be extremely unhappy if I couldn't have a certain base minimum level of money!. Although happiness is indeed a state of mind, it needs an equilibrium and in our world, absence of the minimum base level money creates a major imbalance that is almost impossible to ignore or overlook!.!.!.!. the happy state of mind can not be built over a hungry stomach or under a roofless sky!!Www@QuestionHome@Com

I've always pondered this question, and the way I see it is that yes it does make you happy!.
It makes you happy in the sense of living a stress-free life!. I mean, imagine being absolutely broke!. Like $24 in your bank account and you work part-time!. I mean it's hard enough to pay for a half-tank of gas or even your monthly cell phone bill!.

Who wants the hassles of finances streaming up in their consciousness!?

I believe that there is a balance of having enough money to pay for your things and not feel stress, and having other important aspects like loving friends & family, and even a job/ or work you enjoy!.

Thus, I believe that money is truly essential to that equation for being happy!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Never!. Money is essential for living but it can never make you happy!. If that is the case, the richest people should remain happy for ever but that is not the case!. The richest are the most tormented lot in this world!. A small example: We need a footwear that suits exactly to the size of our feet!. If it is a little large, then the footwear will slip out of our feet!. If it is a bit small, it will bite your feet!. Hence we can comfortably walk wearing the correct size of footwear!.
