to figure out where you are supposed to go after you finish everything you need to get done first so you can figure out your own destiny so that you can follow it and make something of yourself and your life!.it is kind of like asking what is the meaning of dreams you cant really give a strait answer you kinda just gotta wing it and hope for a light at the end of the long long tunnel thats what i think!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I think most people who ask it on these forums (or should that be fora!?) mean, "What good comes out of human existence!?" To which two answers are, I think possible:

1!. Humans existing gives happiness to those humans!. The main objection askers of the question would raise would tend to be, "But happiness isn't good unless it achieves some other good end!." And if such a belief is held, most people will hold that no thing is good unless it achieves some other good end, and thus this will go on ad infinitum, and so the conclusion (which may not be a valid one, even given these assumptions) is that no good comes out of living!.
2!. No good comes out of human existence!. If one accepts the assumptions above, this is the answer you end up with!. So be it!. But there's no paradox here!. It's just a bit weird for some 14-year old kids who like to think of themselves as philosophers to think about!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I can give you the answer to that question, but you may not agree with me, since I actually have several answers, some serious, some humorous, and some downright funny!. The 'meaning' of the question is supposedly the MOST IMPORTANT QUESTION anyone can ask, and most people will tell you that there is no 'correct answer!.' That is what 'philosophy' is all about !.!.!. figuring out the meaning of life!. Why are we here, why do we think, imagine, do good or bad!? If the end is only death, then WHY are we here at all!? I can't tell you why at least ten different people ask the question !.!.!. for the same reason I can't give you only one 'good' answer !.!.!. because there are many reasons why people do it !.!.!. some may be being funny while others may be actually asking the question hoping for a correct answer!. Now I'll give you the answer I give most frequently !.!.!. the meaning of life is 42!. If you want to know WHY that is the correct answer, I suggest you read 'The Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy' by Douglas Adams!. I dont know if your serious or just bored!. but I would say people ask this question because they are searching for a purpose and need to be able to connect, to have their place somewhere!. So they can feel that when its over they made an impact or will be remembered!. Some will think it is pointless to ask since no one know the answer but maybe someday by us asking now we will have the answer before the test is over!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
