This is more of a phylisophical question, as im guessing theres no way to actually prove it!. What if everyone sees a coulour, take green for example, as red in someone elses eyes!?
And why not stop there!? Even emotions could be different in everybodys perception!. Any thoughts or views on the subject are cool!. I would like to see what others think about it!. We can't even define what these "ways" are -- what I think you're really trying to get at is the what-it's-like-to-perceive, that is, the experience itself!. Which, as you say, is beyond "proving" or even knowing!.!.!. it isn't something that is known "about" or known like a fact!. I don't think we can really imagine a comparison of two conscious experiences, because being one point of view precludes any other point of view!. I think in a scientific sense, it's reasonable to assume that your experience of a color "feels like" my experience of the same color!. But in a philosophical sense, I think the question sort of explores a blind alley (pun intended)!.Www@QuestionHome@Com i was talking to my friend about that the other day!. i think i know what your talking about though!. like, my turquoise would be dark blue to someone else!. im pretty sure that everyone see colors, not the same, but in a similar way!. i guess i cannot say that because there is not a good way to really test this!. thats an interesting thought and i hope that one day, people could be able to see life through someone else's eyes, literally :)Www@QuestionHome@Com as for colors, yes!. i know for sure because me and my friend dont see colors the same!. i see them darker than most people!. and im not colorblind either, thats just how i see them!. and of course people perceive emotions differently!.Www@QuestionHome@Com if the general consensus says that a certain object is red!.!. then its red!.!. we are taught the names of colors so that we could communicate without ambiguity!. black is black green is green!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com Yes Did you ever see The Matrix!? The scene where mouse talks about the taste of chicken!. Same thing!. As for colours, yes people can see different colours differently!. Men and women have different numbers of blue receptors in their eyes which alter how we catalogue the "aqua" colours!. Next time you're in a clothes shop, hold up an aqua garment and ask if it's blue or green!. Men will usually call it blue and women will say green!. Monet had a cataract!. He painted a scene of a lilypond when he had the cataract and again after it was removed and the colours in the paintings are completely different!.Www@QuestionHome@Com People do perceive colors differently!. (Ask any woman who has ever sent a man to a store to pick up a colored 'anything'!. Men tend ot work with just primary colors - women with a full palette!.) My father was color blind - he saw colors as textures or shades of grey!. Because of his inability to see color, his 5 children have widely varying ways of describing color - differing from conventional standards!. Emotions have color, and chakras have color!. They also have temperarture, and texture, and substance, and tactile qualities!. They can be sensed with other senses!. It is common to be able to sense someone else's emotions, or to feel the presence of another!. Often, color is associated with these perceptions, and usefully so!. Emotional perception is individual!. What I might take as aggressive, someone else might see as inquisitive or curious or exploratory or just unconscious!.
