Question: Do you think most people live asphyxiated with fear!?
I think much of human goodness is wasted in our efforts to be just right, correct and harmless, especially if what you do requires some sensitivity towards others, as is the case here!.

I believe when we able to speak out mind – of course without being rude or nasty - we learn to truly open up and understand the meanings of moral courage and sense of responsibility!. I find people in normal life often uptight, confined to their overgrown sense of expediency and appropriateness that their relations to their world become almost joyless!.

Are you afraid that if you say something openly someone might understand it differently, as badly, or are you willing to speak your mind, in any case, as you could do it here!?

I believe in our hearts and minds, in our own special ways, we are all good people, trying to do something good!. Do you support this belief!?

Thanks for your kind thoughts!Www@QuestionHome@Com

i dont think that last bit is true my friend!. the fact is, in my experience, people only give a damn about themselves and their own!. and everyone is not good, you must live in a pretty nice place to think that!.
i've lived on the streets and in a hostel, and seen people dying around me!. i've seen one of the best men this earth had injected with heroin and murdered by some random scumbag because he was a loner, he was targeted!. i see every day people who do not want to live in my country peacefully, but come here and sexually harass women, and who follow their faith to the extent of murdering and commiting violence against innocents!.
the world is full of hate, and of people who are haters, who are too selfish or afraid to stand up to the haters, or people like myself who think so many things are wrong with the world and have learnt to deal with it and settle for teaching their familes standards because we are not in a position to stop the insanity!. the freedom fighters are gone, we are all screwed, and the only thing that matters to me now is my own family, because the people on the street dont care!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Absolutely with the supporting belief thing, but when speaking your mind is public you can often feel that your every word is put under scrutiny by anyone who is listening, if you get anything wrong then it seems to be held against you!. However on here any errors can be ignored and are soon forgotten about!. In the first group I mentioned, if there is someone in the listeners who knows the answer then they will start to make the speaker feel bad about thir error!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I do support your belief, and it saddens me when people's judgement is clouded by bad first impressions and ignorance!. i also get very annoyed when words get misunderstood and feelings get hurt, but people don't even try to remedy the situation, they just let it be!. i am constantly misunderstood, but I still speak my mind in most occasions, but I have to admit that i choose my words carefuly and sometimes keep them to myself entirely if I think that some ones feelings will get hurt!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

If not asphyxiated by it, greatly motivated by it!. Thanks!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

All our actions are based on fear!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

This is just modern society, people are wound up by the pressure of life,it's all to hectic or all to boring!.I do not think any of our ancestors would understand this modern age, life seems to get harder!.It is interesting though that Prozac is the biggest selling drug in the west!. Different stats give different figures, but it seems that almost half the population in Britain suffer some form of depression!.With around 100 people a week committing suicide!.If ever there was a need for patience it is now!.But people also are very angry,I to believe people in general are good, personally i think there is a lack of love!.If we are hurt or undervalued we react by doing the same,I mean show a person kindness, understanding,a bit of praise is good to,restore whats lost and they react different!.We have all seen reality programmes where people are taken out of their environment and they become happy again!.Yes joy is missing in people, influences have changed over the years, community has gone, and certainly some people are victims of their own community!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I believe that we are all affected by fear, fear is a very strong trigger of adrenalin!.!.!.adrenalin being a chemical rush to prepare us for fight or flight when faced with a threat either imaginary or real!.!.
To live in fear either temporarily or constantly would have damaging if not negative effects on an individual's / society's well being!.!.!.

The more an individual is subjected to this adrenalin rush, the more they get to expect it or in extreme cases go out of their way to create it!.!.

Fear is also a trigger for change, it often spurns one into action from a period of stagnation!.!.

Our medical system would benefit greatly from investigating the chemical knock on effects of Fear!.!.
As would our Criminal Justice System!.!.

I stand up and speak out about what moves me passionately!.!.
Communication is after all only 7% verbal!.!.!.

However in the words of the great late Bill Hicks!.!.!.

" they are just beliefs, what we've been taught or learned!.!.!.that doesn't necesserily make them true!.!.!."Www@QuestionHome@Com

People are too eager to retain what they have, rather than seek what they really want!. This is driven by the fear that a person whom one can speak with transparently on a certain issue is something in theory, or will be incompatible with one in a different sphere of life!. So people often hit a parylsis in relationships with others, afraid to progress because they feel that their feelings are shameful, or too deeply personal for someone else to comprehend!. Or feel, as you insinuated in your last point, that there's so little empathy that another person will misinterpret their opinions!. I sometimes hole things up for the first two reasons, and because I feel my external conveyance can't do justice to my feelings!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
