No one can absolutely be certain that there is a heaven or hell, reincarnation, etc!. People fear the unknown!. It is like walking into the ocean and not being sure where the dropoff is!. Or, it may be the fear of change!. It's like fearing the dark!. No point really!. We just don't know what's ahead of us!.Www@QuestionHome@Com Remember duality!. Light/dark, good/evil, night/day, old/young etc!. We can only see life as living vs!. Death!. There is definately something beyond the farthest reaches of understanding!. Death is like stepping into a black hole, all transmissions are lost and we assume the worst all the while the person in the black hole experiences timeless existence, Crazy I tell yeah!. Einstein proved that before he "died"!.Www@QuestionHome@Com Because the mind believes its real, and reincarnation and eternal life is not widely accepted, that is why death is so feared!. People don't know, or seem to not want to know therefore, life and death are a mystery!. The only think about death that I would be scared of is not making amends with all of my friends, family, enemies, etc!. And leaving offspring and a spouse unsupported!. For me, I don't fear dying - but I fear someone close to me dying!. Probably because I have lost family and friends and know first hand the pain and sorrow which the living subject themselves to!. As far as me dying - I know I'll be so dang tired and worn out (already am, lol) when I get there - my only worry is that I hope I get a good nap before I'm thrown into another life or something!.!.!. heheheWww@QuestionHome@Com The Dr's told me over 7 years ago they would be surprised if I live through having my son I was only 19!. I have a aneurysm on my brain and a AVM( all my veins are tangled in my brain causes bleeding) I got paddled 2 times that day!. I have had 2 strokes since then and I'm still here so maybe we can escape death, I'm sorry we just don't know how long!. People just got to remember LIVE LIFE TO THE FULLEST because we all dieing but only a few of us know how!.Www@QuestionHome@Com i see it as not fearing death itself but fearing stigma, failure, detachment, and all other social influences that come to mind upon reflection that lead to a panic and fear of dying!. i do not see death in itself as being something that causes fear, more peace than anything :/Www@QuestionHome@Com If you believe in the Biblical account of man's origin and his fall the reason for death is that man sinned against God, and a s a result he ages and dies!.
