Question: Does anyone ever feel the glimpses of silence move in and wrap you up like a blanket!?
Have you ever found yourself 'stuck' in the silence!. Like you are wrapped in cotton wool!? Like sound is just a passenger!. Can we go a bit too far in searching for stillness that we can't return!? Or can you direct me to the Mental Health Section!.

Thanks!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Stillness is peace in the energy of the spirit living on this earth!. Gently, water of a river creeps past a pier as the sun softly reflects its glow upon the calm water!.

The eye can partake in a glorious beauty and be blinded by the perfection of the glow!. Silence becomes a friend with a spirit longing for stillness to be one with the earth and nature!.

Silence is golden regardless of happy and sad times!. No mental health issues for you my friend!. This world is chaotic for "spiritual silence seekers"!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I always thought it was glimpses of science, meaning moments when life almost makes sense, but I like glimpses of silence better!. It sounds like a facet of that emotion people call lonliness, which I can't relate to since I am immune to that emotion for some strange reason!.

You're not crazy, just need some company!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Sometimes, in the silence of a dark room, often in the wee hours of the morning, when it feels like the whole world is asleep except for you, one can hear it!. The silence I mean!. It's a ringing noise!. You sit there and listen as it falters, only to realize that the silence was only in your head!. My friend, it's not too absurd to search for silence!. For silence, complete and pure silence, exists in death!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

My friend, do I sense that this silence is making you feel disconnected!? Actually, there is no such thing as silence!. Even in places away from modern "sound" there is always noise!. My family and I moved to the country five years ago, and though we seldom here sirens and car traffic, the bullfrogs and the geese can be quite loud at times!. I prefer their sounds to the mechanical man-made ones, but some people come out here and cannot sleep because of all the "racket!." I have rambled on, but you get my point, don't you!? Connect!. That is all I can say to you!. Connect!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I think everyone tunes out from time to time!. As long as you don't phase out while operating heavy machinery it may be a good thing!.

I have had an out of body experiences while riding a motorcycle and am still here!.

A friend of mine occasionally gets her mind stuck like a scratched record, with a phrase repeating over and over in her head!.

My brain keeps spelling out words in the middle of my thoughts!.

I wouldn't be requesting a rubber room just yet!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yes, I do experience silence engulfing but, alas, it won't last long as a thief called thought enters unaware and robs off the peace of silence!. No need for Mental Health as this state itself is called 'normal' by the vast majority of the people(who are 'abnormal')!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Poetic license for having to shut up once in a while!? Mental patients don't feel glimpses of silence, they hear voices!. :) Peace!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It happens to everybody, only thing is that they are not aware!.
It is a way for the stillness from which we cannot return!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Glimpse!? You can't glimpse silence!. You can feel it -- oh hell, you're probably being poetic!. Carry on!. :)Www@QuestionHome@Com

If you feel that , then you are in the right place!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yes I have in the past much to my dismay!. I call it centredWww@QuestionHome@Com

That sounds really good !.!.!. I'll take two please!

Ya know!? I really DID feel that way the other day!. I had my pillows all around me like a fort and my main pillow under my head and I was wrapped up in my blankets like a cocoon and it did feel like cotton wool and the whole house was totally quiet and at first it was just like a straight jacket but I wriggled and wriggled and eventually I worked it a bit loose and soon I was free and running for ice water in the fridge!.

OMG !.!.!. even worse! About 40 years ago and I was in college someone had given me a strange looking pill and I went to my room specifically looking for "silence"!. I was doing pretty good until my roommate came in and I freaked!. TOO MUCH NOISE! But it was the 60's so when a bunch of students packed me up into a van and took me to the local hospital the hospital admittance people took one look at me and said "Nope! We can't handle that!" and refused to let me in!. Thank God! I woke up walking the campus and when a bird chirped it brought me back to reality and when I looked behind me there were 3 friends following me to make sure I was OK and they looked and said "Dartagnon, are you back!?" I truly was and haven't left since!
The moral of the story is you don't always need to find a Mental Health Section but it never hurts to keep a chirping bird in your repertroire!.
And what makes YOU think that you returned!. Perhaps you are still in the anti-reality that you IMAGINED that September evening back in 1995 from which yu STIll have to return, but that would mean that you have to leave here and since you feel you're home you might as well kick back and enjoy!
I think they should be required to label EACH reality and WE should be tattooed with the reality to which we are born!. Then you could compare every once in a while and see how far you've drifted!. I KNOW I'm on about my 8th reality!. Or is it 800th!? It's really getting hard to tell!.
Where did you say the Mental Health Section is!? To the right!? Over here!?

Helllllllooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!.!.!.

Dang,

:-)
Peace !.!.!. You are in Reality 322Www@QuestionHome@Com
