No because either way you are attempting to define yourself by what you are!. However, you could get to the goal alot faster if you looked at the factors that really stimulate you!. For instance really closely observe that which you hate, love, makes you act before thinking, desire, draws emotions and so forth!. Maybe then you could begin to grasp an inkling of the true search going on here!.!.!.!.!.!.

Only actions can ever define "You" because what you are is simply what the world sees of you and nothing much can ever be grasped from facial features or physique!. Relate to the same people dressed in rags, slurring words & stinking of p!ss and see how the reactions towards you change!. What has altered other than how you act !? You could be EXACTLY the same person underneath and indeed only acting it for experiment or some other reason but your "definition" to those around you would instantaneously alter on a massive scale!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

That is what is taught to recognize the Self or to become Enlightened!. Since most people are not looking to become enlightened identification is with what one is, hence the pronoun "I" is a systematic habit that is usually followed by a verb and an adjective!. Enlightened beings have realized the limitation of the use "I" and realize it is really an illusion in the Reality of Allness or Oneness, and therefore naturally don't recognize themselves as an "I!."

Ordinary people identify with form, hence it is believed that "I am the body, mind, personality" which is far from what we actually are, as confirmed by every enlightened being to walk the earth!. Therefore I try to live by the saying, "Once you call yourself anything you limit yourself to what you can be!." - Unknown!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

No!. I characterize myself by what I am, not by what I am not!. I like better to define myself like this!. I know me by whom I am!. I don’t know me by whom I am not!. This doesn't mean that I don't see areas (a few) LOL where I could kick it up a notch!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It's never necessary to define yourself!. It will be evident by your behavior who and what you are to the world around yourself!. People will see the real you, whether or not you want them to!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

oh, this takes long!.!.!. neti neti (not this, not this)!. but yes, probably it is easier to define it that way, because what i am is to be, to experience, not to do or to define!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I try not to define myself at all, in the postive or negative, both only serve to limit!. Truth is, we are more than we can even conceive in this form, any label, good or bad, only limits us!.

Some times it is!. If youre not a truth teller youre automatically a liar!. If your a giver youre not selfish!. It doesnt matter!. You can define yourself either way!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
