Question: Do you think anything that you focus on long enough must become truth!?

When it comes to attitudes and philosophies and beliefs, then yes, the longer a person focuses on something, the more it becomes a truth!. But it is "an individual truth", not a universal truth that necessarily applies to all things or to all people!.
Truth is for all of us, an interpretation of our world and ourselves in it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

No!.

FOCUS is a physical mechanism of the overall system!. This process merely calls to the forefront all faculties to STAY on course to accomplish a desired outcome!.

Becoming truth is a MENTAL and often emotional process where the mind is being convinced or IS convinced that something IS TRUE because the mind BELIEVES it to be TRUE!. One does not have to be FOCUS on anything to have our mind begin to realize something HAS to be true!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

"If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it!.!.!.!.!.!." - Joseph Goebbels, NAZI propaganda minister

Of course, for many, all that matters is individual perception of reality!. There is no room in their own little 'world' for universally-accepted standards and truths!.

Personally, I neither think that intense focus automatically renders something true nor does absense of focus/ attention assume that something is untrue (unless it can be logically proven that it cannot possibly be true)!. Intense emotional states, especially, have the potential to fool our senses into believing something is or is not there when, in actuality, the opposite is true!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

No, because the laws of physics get in the way!.
And, mere concentration isn't enough!. You have to do visualizations as well - Jim Carey did this for years - he kept visualizing getting a $10 million check for one of his movies, and he finally got it!. Sometimes it just works!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

There are absolute truths and relative truths!. Relative would be, (for instance) the water is cold!. It is a statement based upon personal relativity to the water!. It is true for you, but not necessarily true for another who may be of heartier disposition!. BUT!.!.!.!.the manner in which it is often viewed by others is the statement !.!.!."What is true for you is not necessarily true for me!." In physics and the world of natural law this is not an option (and I might add in the realm of spirituality as well) The statement negates itself even as it is spoken!. If it is not true (the statement) then it is a lie!.!.!.and if it is true!.!.!.it is a lie!. Words have a funny way of playing themselves out in true meaning when actually understood for their "true" meaning!. Can gravity be true for one and not another!? Can the laws of thermodynamics be regarded as an option!.!.!. For those who would be under their auspices they work and those who would choose to pass them by they do not apply!? Truth is a merciless thing!.!.!. It finds no glory & no favor in acknowledgement, neither does it find disregard a thing to be disdained!.!.!.it simply IS!. (something akin to the nature of God!.!.!."I AM"!. The universe does not revolve around our own personal desires and denials!. It would behoove us to find the truth of a matter and discover a way to come into line with it and live a harmonious relationship with it!. Of course there are many different aspects of things and when enlarged upon anything is seen in the context of greater systems, but ALL have a unity of purpose, design & place when truly understood!. Our own minds and personal leanings are the greatest impediment to discovery!. When we do not recognize & understand that which comprises our own existence we are influenced to follow a line of thought unbeknownst to ourselves!.!.!.hence the need for self examination in all things if we would discover "the truth of a matter"!. "Facts do not cease to exist because they are ignored!." -Aldous Huxley & it might be added that which is a lie does not become true because we want it to be so!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

No!. But it may, for you, become reality!.
(The two are vastly different things)
If (or when) this happens, you are in a fairly serious psychological condition refered to in the clinical literature as 'disconnected from reality' (or, in laymans terms, 'f*cked up')!.

Jesus said that whatever you dwell on you move towards!. Be careful!. You can believe anything and it will drive your behavior!. You have seen truly beautiful women who think that they need plastic surgery!. It is because they believe they are not beautiful!. That is what drives them to their behavior for better or for worse!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

No!. It may become truth to the deceived person, but it will not become an absolute truth!.
I can tell my cat it is a dog, treat it like a dog, tell myself it is a dog!. But, it will still be a cat to all others and in actuality!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

We can make ourselves believe that it is truth or whatever it is if we believed, focused or obsessed long enough!.That is a dangerous yet delusional thought which will not bring truth since we can wish all we want yet that does not mean that it will come true!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

No, no necessarily truth!. But, I do think that what you focus on long enough becomes your reality!. People do a pretty thorough job of convincing themselves that some things are true in the abscence of any proof!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

at some point we can see the truth in any circumstance and then accept as it is!. this is not to imply that we will adopt everything as our sense or understanding of truth!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

To an extent,,,, I believe everything you see is your perception, and your perception is your reality,, so yes!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

No
You can focus on the thought that you can fly by flapping your arms and you won't defy gravity!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

After repeating a lie a good few times, you start to believe it!. Once that happens we're unable to differentiate between the two!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Nope!. That like saying "You can change that laws of physics, by mere focus and thought!"Www@QuestionHome@Com

No, but it does materialize into something tangible after a while!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Many longings may not become true!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
