Is there an indepensible man or woman anywhere on Earth!? With all of the laments about and tributes to journalist Tim Russert (I was one of his major fans too), the thought occurred to me that we, as human beings, fail to realize just how replaceable we are!. After all, aren't children, themselves, simply replacements for all those who go six feet under!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

But you lose me when you add the part about children being replacements!. That's where you are very wrong!. Are we all just replaceable human beings!? No! Dear Lily, do you have children!? Do you share true love with anyone!? People who have lost someone who they truly and dearly love know the answer to your question!. Your naivety is most likely because you have not loved AND lost!. For your sake I hope you love and are loved but have never had to bear the loss of an individual that is irreplaceable to YOU!. I lost my only son!. I will never have grandchildren!. I feel great loss!. To me my son can never be replaced!. It is a testament to one man and all of mankind that someone who dies is honored and remembered by others who go on without them!. For days, weeks or even a lifetime!. Love, respect and admiration for others is what makes mankind worthy of inhabiting this planet!. As our world gets more desensitized it gets more dangerous and less tolerable!. Has it ever occurred to you that the "big picture" isn't as beautiful as stopping and looking closely at the more minute details of our world!? Slow down and take time to smell the roses!. That is where you will discover the meaning of life!. It's all about YOU, !.!.!. and ME as INDIVIDUALS!. Sure we can march together in unison!. We can assemble an army or a marching band!. Our worth in the group isn't why we were born into this world!. It's our worth as an individual that God, our parents and all of those that love us cherish most!. It's what we ourselves cherish most about life too!. If we each succeed in distinguishing ourselves in some way like Mr!. Russert did, this world will be a much greater place!. What a dismal planet and life it would be if we ALL had the same uniform and marched the same exact way to the same exact place every day!. Celebrate life!. Celebrate each life!. Let Mr!. The only thing that gets to go 6' under is your shell or body because at the point of death your soul leaves!. Everyone is an individual!. There are definately no replacements!
