Question: If space is expanding, where is it expanding to, and what was there before!?
Are we just inside a bubble that a god like being has blown whilst they have a bath!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

We can never know!. The question implies the ability to view the universe from some larger perspective of which the universe is a subset, and by definition the universe is NOT a subset of anything!. At least from the human perspective, which, again by definition, is the only perspective it's possible for humans to have!.

When people say the universe is expanding they mean that its apparent volume is increasing!. That doesn't necessarily mean it's taking up a larger amount of the volume of something larger than itself!. Rather, the nature of space itself is altering such that, from within, we measure its volume as being greater!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Phist is right when he says it is a place where anything that exists exists!.

Things that exist are called existents, and there is no existence where existents don't exist!.

Therefore, outside of the finite universe, there is no existence!. Not even nothing exists out there; that would be turning "nothing" into a "something" and saying that "something which we call nothing" is out there!. Very contradictory!.

Ripso is laughingly contradictory when she say the universe is infinte AND expanding!.

If the Big Bang theory is correct, and if I am correct about there being not even a void outside of existence, then existence before the bang was all inside the thing that went bang, and of course its outer shell!. Step away from the outer shell and--well that would be impossible, since there would be no "where" to step to!. Since the thing that exploded is the only existent, and nothing is "existence" outside of the area where existents exists, then there is not even the emptiness of empty space outside the thing--because "empty space" would then then have to be an existent!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

There is no "where" thus your question is irrational!.
As to what was before the speculation is expanding on a comparable scale to that of space!.
I mean without space the term "where" has no meaning and so it is not a valid line of inquiry!.
"Where" is a relative term!.
It is the observers position in relation to another object or objects and the position/s that they hold compared to the observer!.
Space is the areas of direction in relation to the observer!.
Up/down+ right/left+forward/back!.
You can graph any "where" or position in space along these axises!.
If space does not exists then you can not do this!.
And so your question is irrational because the absence of space automatically means that there can be no "where"!.
Do you get it now!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Can you imagine an infinite expanse with NOTHING in it!? It's harder when you have some science background, even the space between galaxies is full of light, radiation, background heat, thinly dispersed particles, dark matter, etc!.

The universe, as defined to be "the area in which there is anything at all" is expanding outwards into an area which has absolutely nothing!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

a lot of people including astronomers will tell u that space is infinite and the way that they are able to tell it is expanding is through the constellations and the distance between stars and galaxies,,, its actually very interesting i recommend u go to a planetarium its an amazing experience,,, no one knows what its expanding to!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

You were doing good, until you mentioned a supernatural entiry, at that point you became delusional and began using CAVE MAN logic!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
