i know their is life out there unless some one can convince me that when i was 14 what i seen was a figment of my over active imagination and to the persons who answer this question claiming to be Christians and that because of their god that their cant be life on other planets i believe your bible says that god created the heavens and the earth making heavens plural meaning more than oneWww@QuestionHome@Com

(1) Scientific answer: Because the probability of life evolving from non-living matter is so extremely small that it does not occur on the relatively few planets with the conditions that allow life!.
(2) Religious answer: God considered the result of His creating life on Earth and decided one inhabited world is enough!.
(3) Fact: At this time there is not enough public knowledge to determine if life exists on other planets!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I understand it is basically a rhetorical question, but let me answer anyway!.
Out of all the other galaxies we can see from the Earth, and of all the millions of planets/stars we can see, why wouldn't there be life on other planets!?
I think it would be pretty egotistical of the people on Earth to believe they were the only life forms in the known Universe!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

God is the reason!.

Consider this from a religious point of view!. When God deems it time the only terrestrial planet he will make his home for 1,000 years in this universe is at this planer earth!.
This is found in Revelations 20:1-6

The Thousand Years
1And I saw an angel coming down out of heaven, having the key to the Abyss and holding in his hand a great chain!. 2He seized the dragon, that ancient serpent, who is the devil, or Satan, and bound him for a thousand years!. 3He threw him into the Abyss, and locked and sealed it over him, to keep him from deceiving the nations anymore until the thousand years were ended!. After that, he must be set free for a short time!.
4I saw thrones on which were seated those who had been given authority to judge!. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony for Jesus and because of the word of God!. They had not worshiped the beast or his image and had not received his mark on their foreheads or their hands!. They came to life and reigned with Christ a thousand years!. 5(The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended!.) This is the first resurrection!. 6Blessed and holy are those who have part in the first resurrection!. The second death has no power over them, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with him for a thousand years!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

well, simply because Earth is the only planet which has the necessary amount of oxygen that any creature needs to survive;

also, Earth is probably one of the very few planets in which there is even a small supply of water;Www@QuestionHome@Com

There could be!. Generally there needs to be a liquid and the right biomaterial on the planet!. To get both, one has to be a certain distance to the right size star!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

One question per galaxy!.*
