Question: If your Mum & Dad hadn't met, would you still be here!?
I mean if your Mum had met someone else other than your Father would you still be here!? You would look slightly different of course but would you still be you!? If we are to believe that only one sperm from millions makes it then it's a miracle of incalcuable proportions that any of us are alive today when you think about your parents, grandparents, great grand parents etc!. etc!. If your parents or their parents etc!. had never met, or one of the other millions of sperm had made it at any of the generations, would you still be here!? If not where would you be!? Look forward to sensible answers 'cos this one is really mind blowing to me! I also suspect I'll get a few daft ones but I don't mind, fire away!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I don't know!. My children often ask me 'where was I before I was born!? Was I in heaven!?' And I find it such an interesting question!. There is so much speculation on life after death, but why has no-one thought about life-before-birth!? Unless you believe in reincarnation, which is I think the only belief-system that addresses this issue!. I know I'm not really answering your question, but it is an interesting concept - have a star!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yes and no!. The life-force is eternal and omnipresent!.
Who you identify with as you, is your mind and body which began after birth and created your identity!.
You are you because of your mind and body - your identity!.
The question is not rational because - if a child is taken away for adoption from China as soon as it is born and brought up by rich parents in America, it has a different identity from -if it grew up naturally in China in the environment it was born!.
They are two different persons because their mind and body, and thinking and values are completely different!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Well half our genes are from each of our parents and these variant genes are selected at random from amongst all of the genes of each parent!. We do not have all of our parents genes, or else pretty quickly we would have every possible human gene!.
So, considering the huge amount of chance that is involved with making the initial genetic 'foundation' of you, it is not likely that you would be at all similar if you had a different parent!. You would not even probably be 50% like 'you' (genetically, which then has social implications) because as I said you don't even have all the genes of one parent!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

First of all, we do believe that only about one sperm from millions would allow a person to have the set of DNA they have!. And each of your ancestors would likely have to have had their exact set of DNA!. So it is a miracle of incalculable proportions that any person has the DNA they in fact have!. So we can see that miracles of incalculable proportions happen quite regularly!.

Of course, sperm provides half of your DNA!. The egg provides the other half!. So what if your parents never met, and the exact sperm that made you in fact fertilized a different egg, and the exact egg which made you was fertilized by a different sperm!. Would there be two of you!? Of course not, and so it is hard to see why you would "be you" if either the sperm or egg was changed!.

Finally, if you were never conceived, you would never have existed, so "you" wouldn't be anywhere!. I have only one sibling, a sister!. My mom has never had any miscarriages or other children!. So I have no brothers!. Asking where my brothers are doesn't make any sense, since they do not exist!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Its a deep question pal!. well i believe the answer is no!.

cause the meeting of your dad and mom in that moment and that specific sperm and egg has made you what you are now otherwise you will be similar to your smaller or elder brothers or sisters!. in another words just a copy which is not true!.

and by the moment you was born memories, environment and behaviour are gained by you and processed by you in a different way than any other person and that's what makes you unique my friend!. and if any of your parents met others before, no it wont be you because simply there was NO you to compare with!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The human body or the physical cloack is but like a garment!. You wear different garments and yet you remain who you are!
The human soul waiting to incarnate here on earth does so when an opportunity present itself!. This opportunity is closely tied to homogeneity!. If my mom had not met my dad, i may still be here if another homogenous opportunity presented itself!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

NO u would not be the person you are without both of your parents!.!.!.!. you ARE a lil part of ur parents!.!. when your parents are together it makes you and if you had any other parents it wouldnt b YOU it would b the person they created and no i dont think u would even excist!.!. thats a scary thought!.!. but ya think of all the people that dont know eachother!.!.!. they dont have kids right!? and the person that they couldve made could not have been made from anyone else but them 2 strangers and that kid does not excist anywhere in the world!.!.!. he/she is not possibleWww@QuestionHome@Com

My dad used to joke that the army wanted to station him in Ireland or Hawaii!. So he said if the army went the other way, our mom would be a Hawaiian girl!.

All my good traits come from my mom and all my bad antisocial, sociopathic tendencies come from my dad!. So I guess I would be better with a different father, but I wouldn't be me!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

This is a mind blowing thing you can go back tracing forever "what ifs" etc!. I think I would maybe be here but I would be a completely different person, I would hope my personality was atleast hanging around lol but just got into someone elses body!. Its a hard one, I definitly wouldnt be me, because we are all unique and individual that is why human nature is sooo fascinating :)Www@QuestionHome@Com

I often asked myself this question , but I never really found the answer!.There are lots of possibilities!. Maybe I would still be here , but I would have looked a little bit different!. But if we are to believe this thing , that means we would have been two different beings !. I don't know if we will ever find the answer to this question!.
But I don't think this THE most important question of our life!. I think we should all ask ourselves why were we sent to Earth, which is our goal in lifeWww@QuestionHome@Com

You wouldnt be the same person, because not living with your Mom and Dad, you wouldnt have been taught the same things, or had certain experiences!. You may look similar due to your Mom's genes, but you would be totally different because of your different experiences and things taught to you!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yes in one form or another!. My existence is not due to the fact that my parents conceived me!. If I exist, then I always have and always will, according to the law of conservation!.

Anyone can try to tell me otherwise, if my parents did or didn't do this or that, my reply would be hypothetical situations have no existence!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Biologically no!. But it really depends on what you believe in!. If you believe in reincarnation then yes you would still be here!.
