For me they have equal significance and importance along with all the other ancient civilisations preceding us!.

From an historical point of view the Ancient Romans definetly had more impact than the Ancient Greeks on much of the World due to their habit of invading and conquering!.

As the People's Front of Judea in Life of Brian debated 'What have the Romans ever done for us; apart from the roads, the viaduct, the aquaduct, sanitation and law enforcement!?

However, without the Ancient Greeks where would medical science be today, where would the philosopher start and where would we go on holiday!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

A bit like asking if it's more important to be Bold or Inquisitive!.

And frankly to be influenced by Rome IS to be influenced by Greece!.

I suppose you could argue Greece is more important because Rome wouldn't really be Rome without Greek influence!. Still!.!.!.!.

Greece is Ben Franklin flying a kite in the rain!.

Romans had their legacy, such as laws and engineering and military doctrine!. the Greeks were great thinkers and such!. The Romans were greatly influenced by the Greeks!.

I look at the Romans as the rowdy bogans of the classical world and the Greeks as the polite upper class!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
