Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
Life is an energy machine!.

Money is a symbol used to efficiently exchange energy!.
(as opposed to barter which is a pain in the @ss)

So the notion that ENERGY machines will somehow ADVANCE beyond the need to efficiently exchange ENERGY is so mind numbingly moronic, only Marxists and Sci Fi writers think its possible!.

I think the answer is NO!. It's like asking if Engineering will some day 'advance' beyond mathematics!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

If we don't do it willingly it will happen by force; you can't devise a system which has the potential to be infinite (the economy), base it upon things which are very much limited (all resources) and then expect it to last!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I doubt it! It's not Star Trek you know, you can't just give someone the science of a new material, and expect to live a life with out money!. Money makes the world go round, the world go round, the world go round! *sings*!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
