Yes, I believe it!.!.!.although we own the words, once we speak them it really belongs to whomever listens to them, for they can interpret whichever way they please, and often times, that is just what they do!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Words do acquire a life of their own once they have been uttered!. They may continue to express our thoughts sometimes, but usually not to the exact degree anticipated ("The world will little note, nor long remember what we say here, but it can never forget what they did here" -Abraham Lincoln, in the Gettysburg address)!. Sometimes they can be restated in such a way as to no longer express our thoughts, and in fact the words may change entirely when restated!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Words are a creative force!. Names do hurt people physically!.
If your boyfriend tells you, "I've never really found you attractive!. I wish I was with someone better looking!." how does he take that back!? Does an "I'm sorry" repair what was broken!? The words have created a hurt and done damage that stays!. The acid in your stomach, the shock to the system, the build up of tears physical pain are all real results of the words!.
On the other side, how many of us have taken words of encouragement and held onto them for years!? Adults remember childhood mentors that believed in them and affirmed their worth in words that healed, built up and acted as catalysts to greatness!. Often these stories are shared and these same words are used to encourage another generation!. Words have consequences!. Whether they are for long term pain or good is the responsibility of those who speak them!. Once spoken they are out of your control!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The meaning of it is that some say that a word ends the moment it is uttered, but the truth is that the word starts living the moment it is said!.!.!.!.!.
