By looking at things from the past can bring about a new understanding of the present!. I suppose someone could be jealous if what you are looking at from the past in a new way is improving your present point of view!. To some, any new understanding gained by another could be considered a bad thing!.!.!.go figure!.

I know one thing for sure, the problems today would be significantly improved if most people understood history!. We tend to repeat conditions in the present if we don't remember what we learned from the past!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It doesn't make sense from either a philosophical or a grammatical point of view!.
We learn from the past, and we cherish it's memories!. However, we live in the present and anyone attempting to 'live in the past' is just making their life in the present more difficult!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

depends on context but generally no - I think they are just tired of hearing the other person talk/whine/complain about their pastWww@QuestionHome@Com

It is nice to remember but why have the best thing in your life in the past!. If it is still ahead, I'd want to find out!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

You live in the present!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
