My 14 year old daughter was caught smoking at school so the principal phoned me and asked me to give her a spanking, which I said I would do!. When I questioned her about where she got the cigarettes, she said that there was a boy at school who had a horde of stolen tobacco and liquor which he gave out in return for sexual favors!. I said that I would let her off the spanking if she got me a bottle of whiskey, which she duly did!.

However my wife found out about the smoking incident and gave my daughter a spanking anyway, so I had to give my wife a spanking for defying my orders!.

Well, the point is this!. Am I morally obliged to give the whiskey back to my daughter as I could not let her off the spanking!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Have your wife find out what the local rates are, and charge all the market will bare!. Don't you think your morals went amiss when you asked your daughter to get you the bottle of whiskey and subjected your daughter to be used for sexual favours when she is under age!. I would say that the action of your daughter is morally wrong in the first place!. Knowing that that thing is a stolen one aggravates the situation by asking the stolen whisky from her!. As a parent you should do your duty by explaining to her that such action is not morally right!. You don't solve problem with another problem!. As to your wife, i would not subscribed to the spanking for there other ways to teach our children!. Spanking is not a good form of transforming a child nowadays!. As this will serve as an example when she grows up too to be a parent!. Explaining things in a clear manner is suficient!. Teenagers have their intelligence and are open for such explanation!. It is a matter of proper commmunication between a parent and a child!.
