I agree, but not quite for reasons of bullying or materialism or any of the things anybody else has come up with, but because of this:

Someone once correctly stated that "No city on Earth is more than three meals away from food riots!."

Most of us have become dependent on others for our survival!. Disrupt that symbiotic relationship by removing supplies, or controlling authority, and "civilization" collapses quickly!.

Civilization ceases to be civil when a few control the masses!.

Power runs riot, chaos ensues and humanity hangs it head in shame!.

Lord of The Flies sums it up nicely: Big bullies with ego that seek to control through fear yet somehow we give them credence!.!.
