the feeling of excitement is paired with a quickening of heart rate!. So, common notions of love and the heart owe their origins to this observation by people in their everyday lives!.

On this level of analysis, one can love football for exactly the same reasons as one loves a person!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Love is a brain chemical reaction to someone's smell, face, voice, etc!. When someone "breaks your heart" it physically feels like it is in your heart because the brain sends out signals your heart reads as pain!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

By no means, does it start in the heart!. It starts in the mind!. You can't just love something!. Consciously or subconsciously your values choose what/whom you love!. Do you know what you love!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

No it is in your mind, but when one is deeply in love, it physically aches in the pit of you!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
