I think you have to help your future out!.!. i mean for ex!. it will not happen that you will become a doctor if u sit at home on the couch watchin tv and drinkin beer instead of going to school!.!.!. what do you think!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

And so it is!.Www@QuestionHome@Com Well, that depends more on you actually!. Yeah, there are things that are meant to happen in life, but they only happen if you choose to let them happen!. Life is made of choices, not destiny or fate!. Maybe some things will happen all on their own, like a friend so happening to pass by, or an ad in the newspaper!. But its whether you choose to go through the paths opening up for you or not that really makes things happen in your life!.Www@QuestionHome@Com If events in human lives were "meant to happen," then who or what sets the agenda!? Does God map out your life!? Then you do not have the free will everyone says God gave you--because "whatever is meant to happen will happen!." Did some mystic force of the non-living universe determine your destiny, like an alignment of the stars!? Or are you actually going to sit back and say "I couldn't help it! It was meant to happen! It isn't my fault--I can't see the future--I tried to become a doctor but the stars were not in alignment--no matter how hard I tried I could not succeed, so therefore my failure was meant to be!." Big Brown was meant to win the triple crown, but that didn't happen!. I don't think something like this can be conditional!. You can't "oh this was meant to happen so it did," and then say the opposite when something else happens!. I do not believe in fate!. If there is a thing as fate, what motivates me to be better than I am!?Www@QuestionHome@Com Good question! This is actually an enquiry concerning free will and determinism!. My own experience in life is that WE HAVE NO CONTROL, at all!.over events!. Anyone who says that it is otherwise is not correct!. There is nothing in the world that happwens because of our determining to do so!. It is certainly the case that our efforts in life at anything is decided NOT because of us, but INSPITE OF US!. There is nothing we can do about it other than to accept this truth and be humble enough to recognise that whether we like or not we but tools in the hands of events!. To think that wew are masters of our affairs is to delude ourselves and to live in perpetual ignorance!. Every action of ours is decided by the antecedent and the chain continues!.
