Morals are rules of conduct that that distinguish right from wrong, while ethics is a system of morals!. It's possible to have morals without ethics, but you cannot have ethics without morals!.

Personally, I'm both ethical and moral, and my ethics are based on the philosophies of secular humanism!. I'm this way because I choose to be and because it's how I think everyone should behave if they want the world to be the best place it can be!.

As an example, I once got a job working for a software company doing technical support, and a customer had her tax records from two years mixed together because the company's software did not separate the data from one year to the next!. I was unable to help the customer, but I was still supposed to charge her for the phone call!. I could not ethically support charging someone when I hadn't helped them, especially after the company's software had already screwed them, so I told my boss to take the charge for the call out of my paycheck instead!. I was fired shortly afterwards because they said that they didn't think that I was going to work out there!. If I had to do it over again I'd make the same choice!.

Since you asked, I was never particularly unethical (I still feel guilty about stealing _one_ chocolate from the nurse's office when I was in elementary school), however my ethics and morals have changed and matured as I've lived!.

I hope that helps answer your questions!. :-)Www@QuestionHome@Com

Ayn Rand always said it was on a desert island where you would need your morals the most!. The extreme definition of morality is that it adheres unfailingly to logic!. On that desert island, if you fail to follow your logic, you could die sooner than later, or before being rescued!.

That unfailing commitment to logic means also that you do not "fudge" on your metaphysics or epistemology, because together those fundamentals of philosophy lead to ethics!.

Thus, if you are ethical, you are moral because you have followed the logic of the metaphysics and the epistemology that combine to form ethics!.

If you are ethical, you must necessarily adhere to logic; otherwise, you could not meet the criteria of "being ethical!."Www@QuestionHome@Com

ummm let me see:
ethical is connected with believes and principles about what is right and wrong!.
what is ethical is morally correct or acceptable!.
moral : concerned with principles of right and wrong behavior, and what is moral is based on your own sense of what is right and fair , not on legal rights or duties!. (Oxford)
well , there is a difference, see!?
I prefer to consider myself as a moral person! and I prefer so because I consider my life as different from others!. I don't like people to tell me what to do!. I don't think there is a person who knows what is right and wrong better than me, but advices are accpetable!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

being a "person" means always confuse morality with ethic!.!.!.Morality originated in a moment of separation!.!.in another words when singularity of anything suddenly interrupted with a sense of individuality,,, Ethic which is designed direct a student through life wordlessly become heavy loaded with tons of written and spoken rules , regulations and conditions Morality is man made codex based on what man think about Ethic!. Ethic does not require any thinking over!.!.it works automatically reminding of itself with a mechanism called conscience!. Ethic itself is that simple!. Complexes is what human does being leaded by his thoughts based on right / wrong!.!.!. Conscience speaks of inapropriate move at this or that situation and would be silent with the same situation in similar set of parameters!.!.allowed you to understand nuances of being!. Moral is rigidly prohibiting!. Let trow the stone first those who is without sin!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

i think if you can live with yourself afterwards, then why should you make yourself hold back!? morals dont make you any money, or bring you happiness, or give you friends, they only stop you from getting these things

the only things i can say i am (without the risk of contradicting myself later) is generous and loyal!.

everything else comes at a priceWww@QuestionHome@Com
