Question: The mind can create music, but why can't it understand it!?

Music, like any form of art, is a form of expression that relates directly to its creator but not always to the person who experiences it (the listener, reader or viewer)!. It's not always understandable to everyone - but it can be enjoyed nonetheless simply for what it is - expression!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

well, some people may not be able to understand music due to a lesser education of music theory perhaps!. those who are very familiar with music theory are bound to understand it better, as they know exactly how to analyze music, through such things as tonality, something that the average person wouldn't think and/or know of!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Perhaps the creator of the music just goes on feeling it!. I see music with the same type name, for example trees, wind in the trees, the night wind all expressing the creator's idea in a unique way!. My response is some inner connection to it that I just feel, I don't have to understand it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Who says it cannot!? I listen to Rachmaninoff's 2nd Symphony and I hear the entire history of man in the first movement!.

And if "they" can't understand it, how can "they" create it!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

By understand, what do you mean!?!?!? as a language, a code!?Www@QuestionHome@Com
