Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: An interestng question!. Looking around, there seems to be some order to things and even to life!. Whether by evolution or whatever, if random events eventually lead to a pattern of sorts then there could well be a pretty complex master plan, one that is well above our level of understanding!. The human race seems to be on some sort of march forward with science slowly but consistently increasing our understanding!. Even free will has its limits, if we accept that environment or heritage has a major impact on our behaviour!.Www@QuestionHome@Com It depends what you mean by masterplan!. As an atheist I'm completely certain that there's no creator deity pulling the strings!. Therefore I must assume that our universe is random!. Or is it!? I've read some thought-provoking theories about the Big Bang and the "quantum wobble" that they say caused it all!. And I can't avoid the notion that reality itself seems somehow hard-wired to create negative entropy - from subatomic particles all the way up to stars and galaxies!. Life itself - and that means us - seems to me to represent the epitome of the universe "finding" the means to create order out of chaos!. It's fundamental and it doesn't need any gods or aliens!. That to me is the masterplan!.Www@QuestionHome@Com There is a master plan wherever someone has put one in place - such as at McDonald's Headquarters or in the Command Post at a commercial structure fire incident - but for a universal master plan to exist implies a universal master planner - God, in other words - I for one would be both comforted and aghast to discover there were a master plan - comforted for the usual reasons - someone knows I'm alive, someone powerful, who presumably cares about us and wants us all to do well - aghast because what if the plan is shite!? What if the plan isn't ABOUT our best interests, what if we're scheduled for incineration in the furtherance of the more important elements of the master plan!? Can we fight it!? Should we!? OMG - I don't know if on balance I'd rather discover there's a master plan or not!
