Question:

I am impressed that I - in 3 people in Europe at any one time are suffering with mental health problems!. It seems out of date to think of normality as 'sane'

I am sure that there are a lot of other inaccuracies in the general idea of what is 'normal' I heard on radio that we humans are the only animals that laugh because we are the only ones who have a sense of how things ought to be!.

I don't want us to lose our sense of humour but would we do better with a more realistic view rather than a wishful view of what is standard for humans!.

I really am aware that there is no such thing as normality but we do seem to carry the concept around with us!. (Especially us Brits regarding the weather)Www@QuestionHome@Com

It seems, then, whenever we encounter what isn't normal, we laugh!.

yeah, in our society today being real is definitely more acceptable which is a good thing as long as you are not so transparent that you share every thought such as!.!.!. I need to fart ect!.!.!. on the other hand, we are still taught to perform a lot by the media!. I'm glad that taking anti-depressants doesn't have as bad of a stigma anymore!. Normality changes with the weather!. What was normal yesterday may not be normal today!. And, like the weather, inaccuracies permited!. Your stats of Europe show that 2/3 of the population is sane, which are good odds!.

I doubt humans will ever lose their sense of humour because they have egos that need feeding, which is not always serious fodder but silly things!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
