I think gods and reality are diametrically opposed!. On one side is the supernatural--immune to the laws of physics, causality, or logic!. On the other is the natural--ruled by the laws of physics, causality, and logic!. Reality's existence can be confirmed while gods and all other supernatural can never be!. Science and rational thought incorporate observation, logic and verifiability, while belief denies these in favor of unquestioning faith!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Many see "God" so they can explain what makes them afraid!.
Others see no need for an explanation and are content with what is!.
Some do not see themselves as even existing and so "God" is the collective energy thinking it exists!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I went and asked Him and He told me He'd prefer it the other way around!. Why should He be a metaphor for something that is a metaphor for Him!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Seeing God as a metaphor for the nature of reality is only a small change from Leibniz's (or maybe it was Spinoza's) concept of pantheism!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
