Question: Real world application for a truth table!?
Can anyone give me an example of a real world situation in which a truth table would be beneficial!? I understand the concept, but I am having a hard time seeing how I can use it in the real world!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

easy!. just make up a truth table for any set of propositions that involve a logical connector, for example modus ponens!. Then replace the variables (p, q, etc) with propositions that you derive from some actual event!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

"truth tables" are called that, perhaps because their best application in the real world, is sorting out someone else's BS story!.

If A is true and B is true but C is false !.!.!.!.!.can the sum of A ,B and C be true!?

Right here!.!.!.!.!.!.!.on Yahoo answers, you can apply the logic of truth tables, when listening to people tell their stories, and then spotting the parts that don't make any sense, and are obviously false!. And if they are lying about one part!.!.!.!.then chances are, the rest of their story equals false as well!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
