Philosophically speaking, it doesn't really matter what I say!. There is not right or wrong, philosophically speaking!.

Otherwise, the tree knows it fell!. The animals it almost crushed when it fell knows it fell!. And the person who nearly trips over it on their hike knows that it fell!. And yes, it did make a sound regardless of whether someone is there to hear it or not!. Are we really so arrogant to believe that we have to be there to witness something for it to make a sound or for it to be important that it fell!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

first or later, in Eternity, someone somebody will observe an event, and going back through the cause-effect chain, he will deduce that "such a tree fell in the forest, there then and thus"

We go look to see if it fell!. That's it!. That's all!. Nothing more!. It's just a stupid word game!. There's nothing philosophical about it!.

Here are some other considerations!. How do you know you live in a house if you can't see it from a hundred miles away!? Would you let anybody talk you into thinking that you have to be looking at your house to know it is there!?

We don't know about the tree until we can sense it in some way!. Simple!!!

I know that somewhere in the world a tree just fell!. I didn't see it happen, and I didn't hear it!.

Then, !. !. well if it's in the deep forest - may be we'll Never know!

but then again, noone will ever know if anyone heard or saw it falling!.
