Of course it means different things to different people but I would say that the basic idea is to stop thinking and acting only for oneself and having compassion for all!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I just spoke to someone who told me her mother won't talk to her cause she won't go back to being a Jehovah's witness!. That is ego to me!. Edging God Out!. I know when I am letting my ego take over & it usually has to do with me not caring about the other person & wanted to win or be incontrol or better than someone else!. I don't know an other guideline but that is all I have so far!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

"Let go of ego" means differing things, depending on the level of discourse in which the phrase occurs!. Whether a person knows what she means depends on whether she knows the meanings of the words in the phrase, and understands how they add up in the phrase!. That's all!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

ego has to be there in a positive sense!. u have 2 feel proud and great about urself!. realising ones self is important!. v cant go behind everybody to gain a good name!. it is bad to do that!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
