Question: Do you think to keep a constant creative flow, we must see things differently all the time!?
Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
I think we should be open in mind and spirit!. We should let the creative forces come to us and embrace us, if you will!. The more we can liberate ourselves from the societal chains the more we become open new ideas, and to new visions!. Nowadays, some pundits have cheapened this experience by calling it, "thinking outside the box"!. What a horrible cliche!
Longfellow said that we should be like a naked eyeball!. We should allow the natural forces to penetrate us and make us feel that indeed we are an integral part of this wonderful Universe!. The children feel this, although they might not realize it!. They are at one with the Universe!. Watch them play
sometime!. If we look back we still get glimpses of those happy times!. As we grow older and cynical we lose touch with our origins!. As Worthsworth said: "The world is too much with us"!.
Don't you find it interesting that most poets did their best work when they were young!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

To stay in that flow you must see nothing else !. That's what I've found when the flow comes to me !.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Amond other things, you need to have a good background of knowledge in something!. Knowing a lot of things allows you to have more materials to work with!. It should also be something open to improvement, and of interest to you, so that you are motivated to create based on it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yes and no!. There are new ways to see old things, old ways to see new things, and so on!. I think the willingness itself to see something from a different perspective is enough sometimes!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Imagination is more powerful and greater than what we have already in mind!. The constant flow of creativity requires us to see things differently then!. I believe this must be taken as each day is a new day and it follows that things must be seen differently each time the opportunity is given to us!.

Thanks for asking!. Have a great day!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yes! The thoughts of creativity, deposited in your mind multiplies an magnifies every moment, so it happens!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Adjusting perspective means having a fresh vantage point!.
Having challenges to our usual way of seeing will inevitably give us some new ideas!.
Our specialty clay guild has challenges and swaps!. Right now we have a twig challenge!. Some will use twigs as the primary focus, some will make molds from twigs and others might incorporate them into figures or masks!. Using an element in your work that is random can force you to re-think your work and possibilities!. This is good exercise for the little gray cells!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

that would be a good benefit!.!.if you are able to manage that!. i'm not too sure that a constant creative flow can be maintained, unless you are willing to let your creativity branch out into other areas of your life!. For example, not wanting it to be soley for artistic expression, so to say, but rather let creativity be an approach that you take to life!.!.!.to living in the present moment!. In that case, then yes, I think it is possible to maintain a constant creative flow~Www@QuestionHome@Com

I disagree with the must!. In order to keep a constant creative flow, we do not have to constantly see things 'differently' as such!. That would be like over using a certain muscle!.

Think of it more along the lines of keeping fit!. You keep your body healthy through occasional running, swimming, what have you and then, when you really need it (and I mean REALLY) your body is trained to REACT without thinking!.

Same for the mind and creative thought!. Keep up regular (but not continuous) exercise for your creative mind and it will keep ticking away in the background ready to burst forth at just the right moment!.

I also disagree with Constant Flow!. Creativity is by nature an explosive phenomena!. Most creative moments that are dotted throughout history are MOMENTS of illumination after long stretches of routine, boredom and non-progress!. Creativity comes in waves!. You have a moment, you then realise it, appreciate it, apply it, then ready yourself for the next wave!.

Seeing things differently ALL the time could inadvertently subvert the creative process!. By defining your processes to see what is different, you could train your mind to ignore what is there!. Ever had a creative moment when you realised that something you desired or sort was there all along!?

To keep up a 'constant' creative flow is to surrender all expectations, all inhibitions of thought!. To simply let things comes to you in what ever shape!. True creativity has no form until we apply form to it, once it has been put into context!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

i found just being open, and not get my past- conditioned mind get into the creativity flow of the now is enough, then all inspiration flows effortless ly to me!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Rita AKA Rena,

Are you morphing into a philosopher!? I am noticing a leaning toward the philosophical!. You appear to be!.!.!.thinking; this is a good thing!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yes, it broadens the perspective!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

No, we just need our minds open and negativity out of the way!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

No!. Not all change is good!. Some depressions are completely paralyzing (and talk about your outlook on life!)!. But some depression is OK - I've written quite a bit when depressed!.
What I'm trying to say is that our emotions filter, or color, the way we see things!. A person in a panic is not going to notice the beautiful little forget me not he steps on as he's running from a real or imagined lion!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

to keep in the flow we see different things all the time, as we see different things it opens our perspective and we see all things differently!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

We do not see things as they are we see things as we are
God meets me where I am and feels my need, if I am open
minded!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Not "all the time"!. To paraphrase an old saying, "too many ideas ruin the flow!"!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Without a doubt! Reinvention is the impetus that keeps it
fresh, alive and evolving!. The original seeds of inspiration
are important, but taking the theme upon a theme upon a
theme until the creativity becomes truly original is the key
to opening the imagination, not only for oneself, but for
others!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I am not judgemental, I see things as they are!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

yes!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I keep one but I don't really think about it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

well we must think outside the box of course!. But, I find that at certain times, there is no turning off the flow!. It can be very intense!. On reflection I find that my perception is somewhat different at these times and I seem to have a handle on everything!. The problem is though, the handle seems to disintgrate after a while and I can`t quite see or think so clearly!. I tend to have a full head most of the time and some times it is hard trying to keep up with myself!. I can only raise half thoughts or ideas before my wee mind is on to something else!. I have been told that I talk in half scentences too at times, which is ok `cos I know what they mean!.lol Life can be stressful at times like this `cos we still gota go to work and the shops and all the other things too!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

!.!.!.I live to create, even during the difficult times when it's harder to concentrate for I learn patience (something that is ongoing with me) and perseverance!.!.!.but I don't know about seeing things differently!.!.!.perhaps from another angle or aspect or even through the eyes of another, but my approach has always been to personalize what I create whether it be poetry, crafts, paintings or just common everyday chores and try to express myself by removing the blinders of shortsightednessWww@QuestionHome@Com
