Question: Is workplace "counselling" a hoax !?

You'd want to be able to avoid a person if you found out that they'd told someone else you were an obstacle!.

A person claiming to be "counselling" you can presumably force you to attend the counselling!.

Presumably the person counselling you does little else but tell other people that certain people are obstacles!.

Commonsense would tell you not to meet them for any reason!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

In my experience work place counseling is definitely personal, and can be used against you!. I guess it would depend upon the maturity and integrity of the people you work with whether or not you'd want to participate in work place counseling!. Could be helpful, could be harmful, depending on the integrity of the person doing the counseling!.

Work place counseling has nothing to do with you as an individual!.
Work place counseling has everything to do with making the work place work better for profit and management
If you like your job then you need to find out if you are truly an obstacle and how to improve your work performance!.
