Question: Does God bring/allow problems into our lives to make us stronger, to perfect us!?
I have heard preaching like this many, many times!. I read Psalm 73 earlier today!. Asaph certainly thought that!. It fills me with resentment, and anger!. I can't love someone who would bring/allow this kind of pain, for ANY purpose, regardless of the outcome!. Yes, I know there are/have been many people who suffered a GREAT deal more than me, and did not fall, but here I am!. The garden of Eden was a setup, his plan was for us to learn patience through suffering!. "The lamb slain before the creation of the world!." There is a Pslam, which I can't find right now, that says The Lord learned patience through what he suffered!. God wanted to learn patience through suffering!?! If you know the Psalm, please tell me where it is!. I expect some answers like, "get over it, we sinned", but that does not, or did not change the plan!. He knew!. I am disappointed in God!. He was not/has not always there!. Joy is no longer an option!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

well he does not control our actions, yes, he knew what each of us would do in the end but he gave us free choice and he does not control us or the things that happen to us we control us!! though he does bring something good out of the bad times!. and he has never and will never bring to us a challnge that we can not overcome!. also you will not understand God or anything he does fully right now because he is not human he is not what you think he could be and you can never comprehend what and how he is and why he does things he is just that great that you or i or anyone else will ever understand anything about him fully!!Www@QuestionHome@Com

God brings no pain into our lives!. Sin and Satan bring all that pain, and only if you repent, can that pain be taken away!. Pray about it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

No!. I just think the game we are playing is called "Life"!. It happens to all of us at one point or another!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Nah- he just does it to be a pain in the ***Www@QuestionHome@Com

it's because God Hates youWww@QuestionHome@Com

I think He does it to make us stronger!. He does not want to perfect us, because if we were, we would not need Him!. But he want us to strive to be like Him!Www@QuestionHome@Com

God doesn't want us to be depressed or miserable!. But through the bad we can learn to appreciate the good!. What doesn't kill you will make you stronger!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

This same question has been thought over billions of times!. Why does god let children die!? Why does god let innocent children suffer!?

It's the big flaw in the theory of believing in a god!. An omnipotent/all-controlling god is supposed to prevent those things, right!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

In my opinion, yes!. If everything was easy, we wouldn't have to do anything to be loving, contributing members of society!. With pain comes even greater pride!. Please, do not turn away from God!. Once you have passed on to eternal life, I'm sure that everything will make more sense!. Have faith

I do not always understand why there must be so much pain, cruelty, and sadness either!. But with hope, you can at least get through it, and work towards a better world- for all!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

If we didn't have problems than what point would there be in Heaven!. God gives us difficulties to test our faith and trust in him!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It was man that was tempted and sinned against God!. He wants us to have the choice to believe in him!. He's always there for you!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

problem is like a homework the the more problem u get the less mistake u do on Ur life!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

http://www!.passionup!.com/fun/fun4528!.htm!.!.!.

that will tell you something!. I think that God doesn't give us pain but he allows it enough to teach us something!. We would be useless schmucks if we had no pain!. I would rather feel pain and learn than feel nothing!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I think God has a plan for everyone!. THe challenges in your life make you stronger!. A weak person is one who cannot take problems and solve them!. I was born with one leg and i feel it has shaped who i am as i person!. You have to take what God gives you and overcome obstacles!.!. to me thats what makes a person strongWww@QuestionHome@Com

Even if you don't love God, he loves you!. Our lives wouldn't have much meaning if we didn't have to work to get where we are!. if someone gives you a porsche, you would treat it worse than one you had to work to pay for!. Your disappointment in God makes me sad!. I hope you get over that!. I'll pray for you!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The bottom line is suffering is used so we can understand what the less fortunate feel!.If everyone got what they wanted, everyone will want something better than another witch cause greed!.Suffering lets people appretiate what they have!.A boy will appretiate the mom he never had while another with a mom will take it for granted!.If the boy with no mother had one who knows how he would be!.Maybe he's better of without a mom since something horrible might happened if she was alive like murder!.Suffering is good but its how we deal with it that makes us stonger!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Well, I believe we need no help causing problems for ourselves!. God helps us get through our suffering and with that we become stronger!. You've probably read this a thousand times but I just thought I'd post this:

Footprints

One night a man had a dream!. He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the Lord!. Across the sky flashed scenes from his life including two sets of footprints in the sand!. He noticed at times there was only one set of footprints!. Lord, you said that once I followed you, you'd walk with me all the way!. I don't understand why when I needed you the most you would leave me!. The Lord replied, "My precious, precious, child, I love you and I would never leave you!. During your trial of suffering, when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you!."

I respect your opinion!. Have a nice day :)Www@QuestionHome@Com

I think that since I am no longer a Christian my answer may be out of place, but I'm familiar with what you are saying!. This is, in fact, the reason I claimed agnosticism while I was still attending my christian High School!. My view of God has adapted heavily since that point and all that I can suggest is that your free-thinking about these topics is putting you on the right track!. I don't believe that we are puppets of a benevolent being!. If you think of God as a parent, parents guide their children but don't always protect them from distasteful experiences!. Anyhow, my understanding of God is still developing as well!. Good luck to you!. :)Www@QuestionHome@Com

Oh my, you surely are in great predicament!. Never ask God why!. Yeah, I believe that God gives us problem to make us stronger!. He wouldn't give us problems that we can't solve or answer!. Happiness is very subjective!. One can have everything including fame, fortune, good looks, etc!. and still not be happy about it!. On the other hand, there are those people who don't have almost everything yet very happy!. Just be thankful that God gave you the chance to live in this world!. Try asking yourself why all these things are happening to you!. Maybe, it is your own fault!. Whenever you face problem, face it with your head up high!. It sounds ridiculous but don't let that problem take you down!. Remember that eventhough we can't see God, He's always around watching us!. Do you realize how much pain Jesus had to take in order to save us from our sins!? The pain you are feeling or problem you are facing right now is nothing compared to what He has done for all of us!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

i dont know the psalms, but i agree how can a loving god allow his children to suffer,so that we may one day be in paradise!?is this a dress rehearsel for the after life!?,i dont think god is there either sometimes,if suffering gets you anywhere i should be at the top of the list(not a pity post here people,) why does a loving creator allow children in some countries to starve, bad people to thrive, there are some very rich people on earth who dont believe in god,is that suffering!?no joy here either!.!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I believe we can never know God's reasoning!. But I believe everything happens for a reason!.
for example, the holocaust!. It was a terrible thing but maybe if God hadn't allowed it to happen, there would be a bigger, more effective holocaust later, but it wouldn't happen because we learn from history
also, he doesn't 'bring or allow' pain, we have free will!. I always think of Satan and God like two super powers, one is good, and the other is evil, but they both exist and both try to sway others and are just as powerful as the other, even if one gets more support!. its not like God is the only one with any influence on us!. He doesn't control Satan so he can't really 'allow' pain!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

dude well first of all im not religious but i believe in God!.!.!.

here we go we suffer because we make the wrong choices, or the people who immidiatly affect our lifes have made the wrong choices, put it like this if u want somehting there is nothing that says u can not get it but yourself, god has nothing to do with ur choices, so if u want something and u dont get it that means u did something wrong and need to try again!.

God has nothing to do with our suffering he has nothing to do with our existance he is just there as someone who watches and puts thing infront of us now its up to me and u to make the right choices to get the happy or sad endings, u might say so why did the jews die when hittler was in power, and my responce is that the people who where around the jews made the wrong desision and the outcome has nothing to do with god but with our choices by the way the bibble just brainwashes u to belive u need to suffer and be poor to be happy, and truelly thats just a bunch of bull so now go and enjoy ur life and remember u make the choice of how u want ur life to end up :DWww@QuestionHome@Com

He does not Allow "PROBLEMS" we allow this by our sinning ways!, Satan right now rules the earth our punishment is only fair for what we do!.
I guess the some example I can give is
If you have multiple sex partners you can catch SDTs!.
If you smoke you can catch cancer
You do wrong there is not much salvation in that, HOW EVER Satan will make you rich and Keep you rich IF you Chose NOT to HELP or NOT do God will yeah you might a a easy ride on earth but receive Severe judgment!., On this Earth We have free will to do as we please, BUT don't choose wisely and there will be a consequences, NOT because GOD wants to damn us, But because we choose to DAMN our self's and Hand of souls to the devil!!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yes, I know this is frustrating but yes God allows suffering because through it we learn!. If there was no such thing as pain and suffering in the world then there would be no such thing as unselfishness and heroic acts!. Through these acts we are being better people!. And yes, it was our fault that we were cast out of the Garden of Eden!. I mean, we deserved it!. Anyway, whose to say that we ourselves wouldn't have sinned eventually!. I strongly recommend talking your pastor!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

No he does not cause bad things to happen !.!.!.but he does allow them !.!.!.but he wont forever!.

But as for the offspring of the wicked ones, they will indeed be cut off!.

The righteous themselves will possess the earth,
And they will reside forever upon it!.

God did not want adam and eve to eat from the ONLY ONE TREE they were told not to eat from!.!.!.they could have anyother tree in the world!.!.!.but they showed NO APPRECIATION for what they received from God and ate anyway!. (Romans5:12 That is why, just as through one man sin entered into the world and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men because they had all sinned)

“For God loved the world so much that he gave his only-begotten Son, in order that everyone exercising faith in him might not be destroyed but have everlasting life!. For God sent forth his Son into the world, not for him to judge the world, but for the world to be saved through him!. --John 3:16,17

Well I don't think God brings suffering upon us!. He doesn't control our actions, we do!. The suffering and pain that comes to us during our lives is caused by ourselves or other people!. We sin, God doesn't, if he did heaven wouldn't be perfect!. I think what God does do though is when we or others around us mess up/cause pain God tries to help us use it somehow for good!. He tries to ease our suffering and teach us something from it so it doesn't happen again, not bring it upon us!.
Oh yeah and for the Psalm I couldn't find it but try looking on

Hope this helps :]Www@QuestionHome@Com

God is always there for all of us!. The sacrifice of Jesus was a living reminder that we can endure all things!. He died on the cross not only to save us from sin, but also carry our burdens!. Even on the cross Jesus ask,"Father, why have you forsaken me!?" It is important to understand that God does not bring pain or suffering into our lives!. That is the job of Satan!. God does allow Satan to tempt us with sorrow, illness, etc!. in order to show ourselves how much faith we have!. God already knows! The book of Psalms is a book of inspiration!. I recommend reading the book of Job!. He was truly tempted and greatly suffered, but proved that God is as close as we allow him to be!. The book of Matthew describes the temptations that Jesus went through!. Of course every denomenation interprets the Bible differently, so your answers may differ!. As you pray, ask God to reveal to you the things that he wants you to see!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

But it is!. God loves us so much that he doesn't do all the work for us, he gives u a chance to figure it out for ourselves!. If God did everything for us, laid all the answers in stone, dictated us rather than guided us, would there be anything to love!? Can the love of God exist without suffering, hate, sin and struggle!? Would we still call day the day if there wasn't a night to compare it to!? Would there really be a good if there was no bad to compare it to!? I disagree that God was not/ has not always been there!. Isn't God most with us when we think he isn't there!? Don't we grow more aware of what seems to be missing while it's gone!? Don't we define and become more familiar with the good as we are faced with the bad!? There is no real answer, as God never gave one, but that doesn't mean that joy is no longer an option!. It's always there, you choose to recognize it, which you cannot if you decide that God has eliminated that option from our choices!. If you believe so strongly that joy is truly no longer and option, that God's absence is dominant over his presence, don't you, in effect, suddenly have the great capacity to be loved and be happy!? Doesn't that make God most loving and present to those who need him most!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

"God whispers to us in our pleasure, speaks to us in our conscience but shouts to us in our pain!. Pain is God's megaphone for rousing a morally deaf world!." Secondly, some goods can cause us to suffer!. For instance, patience!. I don't think it should be difficult to understand the gist of the last point!. also, courage!. For courage is the virtue that enables one to face danger (like suffering, pain, evil, etc!.)!. Now, for Christians the exercising of virtuous living is necessary for the good life!. Take for instance courage!. If there were no suffering, no pain or danger then there would be no opportunity to exercise the virtue of courage!. So, at least some goods can produce or put us in danger or pain!. Still, think of chastity!.Not a pleasurable one, at least immediately!. A virtue almost extinct amongst most people!. Further, Paul says through some tribulations comes hope (Romans 5:3-5)!. This is another point: some goods are not pleasing immediately (for various reasons)!. Aristotle said that one reason is that one actually hasn't acquired the virtues he or she is exercising!. When we merely imitate the virtues of others (which is part of the way we become virtuous our self) it isn't pleasing, because it isn't something we've actually acquired and are doing on our own yet!. Once it has been acquired it becomes pleasing!. So, too, some virtues are painful when we practice them but have yet to actually acquire them!. We don't yet fully understand their goodness, only their goodness manifested in the example of some other person we are imitating!. For this reason we "look up to people"!. They exercise good virtue that we, too, want to do as well!. Of course there are other reason too!. For instance, people are certainly able to become confused about what's actually good and follow what seems to be but is not!. "Looking up" to people with vice while calling it virtue is a cause of pain!. Proverbs attests to the fact that following bad men leads us down a path of destruction!. It therefore is important to understand how something is good and isn't!. Ethics is the study of this!. Therefore Ethics is an important study!. However, our educational system doesn't think so!. How ironic!. So, then this too can lead to pain!. Simply being confused about what's good is something, while not profound, true and can cause us pain!. Theological facts abound!. As Christians we are looked down upon by the world; hated even!. (John Ch!. 15)!. Some trials, as said above, produce hope!. Some produce faithfulness (James 1:3)!. The book of 1 Peter addresses some issues of suffering throughout!. The Apostle James says for us to take the prophets as examples in our sufferings!. I hope this is sufficient enough!. Later!.

P!.S!. You're working on the supposition that all pain is unnecessary (not beneficial whatsoever)!. Is that true!? If you are able to prove that, then you have some grounds for being angry with God!. On the contrary, if it can be shown that some pain can produce goodness, then you are angry and indignant unjustifiably (unless you don't want to be good, and then I wouldn't be the person you would need to speak with but a head doctor more like it)!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

God doesn't make you suffer unnecessarily, you do that

you suffer unnecessarily because you won't accept life, you don't accept suffering, and you resist realityWww@QuestionHome@Com
