The fact that you're that nervous could be a sign that you are under prepared!. Try practicing your piece/routine over and over again until you are so sure and positive you will nail it!. The less doubt you have about your performance means the less you will screw up!. But the nerves are actually a self-check to make sure you care and are trying!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

So my tips for relaxing before any audition are very simple!. What I do before anything is to be myself, get a good night rest, don't forget my lines or scenes and be prepared for anything!. You also have to study and do a good research on your character!. You cannot allow yourself to be stressed out before any audition so just be you because your fear sometimes shows through!.

9) Breathe deeply
One of the best ways to relax before an important audition is to breath deeply!. If you breathe deeply, not only are you relaxing by slowing your rapid, nervous heartbeat, you’re also ensuring that your brain has as much oxygen as possible!. This means that you’ll be able to think clearly at your audition and be able to respond to difficult questioning more rapidly!. Breathing deeply before an audition will provide you with the effective combination of being relaxed and alert at the same time!.

Figure out what helps you to relax when you're nervous!. While some actors can tune out the environment around them in order to center their thoughts and relax, other actors need complete silence and no interruptions before an audition!. Explore some different tactics to discover what type of environment you can turn into a relaxing place, and then seek out these types of places prior to heading to an audition!.
Begin with a simple resting procedure utilized by many auditioning actors: Close your eyes, breathe deeply and imagine a calm and restful scene!. It might be a beach, a pasture, or even your bed at home!. The point is to pick an image which makes you feel rested and calm, and then center your thoughts on that image!.
Step5
Rest while in character!. This will help you assume the role better and will make your audition stronger!. If you're auditioning for the role of a knight, relax as though you are a knight relaxing!. If you are auditioning for the role of an insane character, reflect on how an insane person might relax!.

Personally, for some reason, the best thing for me to do before an audition is not to think about it!. Thinking about it just makes me even more nervous, so I think randomly of other thinks or focus entirely on the script and not the play!. the trick for me is not to think about later, or else ill be all self concious and blush and mutter!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Before a show, a little nap then I do a light workout, breathing exercises and stretching!. I have a very light meal (nothing fatty) with lots of water!. Early to the venue to sound check, set up, make up and find the nearest exits!. Water, no sugar or caffine and more breathing/vocal exercises just before you go out!. Jump up and down to get the blood flowing (or whatever you want to do to get the heart rate up a bit!) then hit the stage!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I try to think about the audition as a job interview and I need the job
I make sure that I know all the words and music by hart
I love music and I know I am a good musician
I use mediation and Yoga to help relax
I do all thes thing and it never helps
So just take a deep breath and play it like you love it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Do a warm up before the audition, any kind of light workout that you like!. Then simply relax into it!. An audition, however important the role it's for; cannot determine the rest of your life!. Even if at the moment it feels like it!. Think of it as just another performance and make sure you enjoy it!Www@QuestionHome@Com

everyone is different

i find listening to music and drinking water calms me down
although drinking water can sometimes make you want to go to the bathroom

i suggest easy music, breathing, talking to some-one (if you can find some-one) movement exercises

the longer you perform the easier it gets

hope i helped :)Www@QuestionHome@Com

i don't know what most people do but i always tried to do something kind of like you do during relaxation exercises - make yourself think of a calm place, like an ocean scene or field of waving grass or anything that you love and makes you feel calm, and just concentrate on that!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
