Question: Does Fingernail Size Matter For Playing Classical/Acoustic Guitar!?
I cut my nails really short!. I was wondering if I should just grow my right hand nails, would that make the sound better!? Because currently with my right hand I just use my finger tips, because my nails are tiny!.

-If I should grow my nails, about how long should they be!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

If you are, like most of the world, right-handed-----cut your fingernails on your left hand short, and let your fingernails on your right hand grow, reasonably, of course!. The right handed fingernails become the "picks"!. If you're a southpaw, do the opposite!.

Go to YouTube, search Ed Gerhart, hit "The Water is Wide", and look at his fingernails---while you enjoy a superbly played and beautiful song!. You will be able to see and hear what I mean!. I'm not him, just a 40 year picker, and a fan!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

you should grow your nails if you want to fingerpick clearly
or you can but fingerpicks from a guitar store
i suggest that the fingernails just barely go above the tip of your finger because if your nails are too long, then its not goodWww@QuestionHome@Com
