I was born with a cleft lip/palate!.

Your singing voice sounds different after recording because when you're singing you listen to yourself differently than others do!. The recording is what you really sound like!.

Deeper!.!.!.!.that's really not something people can do in general (singers in general)!.

I sing, and love it!. Your singing voice is perfect for you and never let the cleft stop you from doing what you want!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Depends on your definition of perfect!. I don't believe actual perfection is possible!. Besides, different people think different things are perfect!. A country singer versus an opera singer for example!. Lots of people don't like opera!. Voice lessons will help, in any case!.

As the others said, what you hear when you sing is not what other people hear!. Plus, you also may be too hard on yourself!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

You will need a good microphone to get a good sound recorded!. Try setting an EQ to boost the low end!. also, when you hear yourself you naturally sound deeper to yourself than anyone else so keep that in mind!. Maybe sing with a deeper voice!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

this is not because you have some problems!. The sound which you here after recording is your original sound!. The sound of yours you here while speaking is heard through your jaw bones!. so you here it something different from others here!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

You sound what you really sound like on the recording!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
