Question: Piano/Keyboard ^^ Help me pleease!?
Hi :) Thanks for helping me

Well, I just bought a keyboard about a week ago just because I have always been interested in it and I think it is a great instrument!. I have always liked music and it is the only thing that keeps me sane!.

Problem is!.!.!. I don't know how to play!. I know the beginning to 2 songs but they are really really basic and I would like to get lessons!. I have been going off youtube and trying to remember things from music class in school but I feel as though I am teaching myself bad habits that are going to get worse!. I dropped music class though because it was mostly guitar and I was horrible -!.-

I was just wondering if I do get lessons if I need to be able to read sheet music!? also, do you think I am too old!? I am 14!. I kind of get discouraged when I hear young kids playing beautifully because I don't think I'll ever be able to do that!.

Thanks so much ^^Www@QuestionHome@Com

I started taking piano lessons when I was 50!. I'm 54 now!. I love the piano!. It provides hours of pleasure!. If you ask me if I think 14 is 'too old' you know what I'll say! You don't have to know how to read music because they will teach you!. Go for it! As for playing beautifully, it's all about practise!. Practise imbeds the finger movements into your brain!. Anyone can practise!. It just takes time and committment!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Of course your not too old, you're never too old to learn to play an instrument!. Don't be discouraged, you have your whole rest of your life to enjoy it!. No, you do not need to be able to read sheet music to get lessons, lessons can teach you how to read sheet music gradually!. Once you can read it, it is much easier to play songs!. Memorizing it by where the keys are is very hard!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

1!. You're not too old!.
2!. It's good to know how to read sheet music!.
3!. Lessons are good!. Or, Yamaha has a great instructional program for keyboards!. Go to the website and look at the Pianosoft line of products!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
