Question: How do you tune your guitar with an electric tuner!?
So I have an acoustic guitar and my friend has let me use his tuner, but I don't know how to use it and it's driving me insane!.

I understand that when the green light shows up it means it's tuned, right!?
But I can't seem to get it on there, and when I do, I'll strum it again and it's completely out of tune!. I must sound like a complete idiot but I'm a beginner to the guitar and I really want to play it but it's impossible to when I don't even know how to tune it ]:Www@QuestionHome@Com

well it depends on back round noise are you using electric guitars or acoustic and is the guitar plugged in instead of using the mic thats built in some tuners!.!.if the guitar is plugged in the you shouldnt have too worrie too much of back round noise but if its not then the mic might be pickin something else up!.!.!.if the strings are brand new they wont stay in tune very well because there not stretched out enough once you play for some time it should get better stayin in tune it also depends on your tuners your guitar has some arent soo great and if you have a cheaper guitar that maybe your problem!.!.or you might wanna check you in tone nation!.!.thats the distaince between the nut and the 12th fret and the distance beweent the 12th fret and the bridge!.!.buy using your tuner if you hit the harmonic at the 12th fret and them hit the note at the 12th fret the should match if it comes up sharp or flat adjust the saddle!.!.!.it also may be your tuner depending on what brand it is!.!.!.try plicking the string over the 12th fret with your finger!.!.and as your tunning dont hit the string soo hard you dont need too harder you hit it more sharp it will come out!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
