Question: Are there different types of Banjos!?

Apologies for my absolutely woeful lack of knowledge!.

Are banjos like Guitars in that they have a bass version!?

Does a bass!.!.!.sort of erm!.!.!.deeper pitched Banjo exist!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yes you do get different types!.You get a bass version often just called a bassjo!.Les Claypol uses one and does slapping and [popping on it!.You also get 4,5 and 6 string banjo's!.
My son plays banjo and is also the world's best bass player!.:)
